Poor kid. I couldn't even imagine what he's going through now...knowing he'll lose another year just rehabbing all over again.

Just no luck at all.

I'm sure the normal cast of people will show up ranting about how Morin is terrible and blah blah blah.

What I know is I feel bad for him going through this two years in a row.. Has to be horrible and frustrating . Hopefully he doesn't allow this to get him too down.

Sucks for the big kid. Two serious injuring to the same knee ligament may be all she wrote for his career.

Really, really sad for him. I hope he does not lose faith. I hope he has a good support system around him who can give him the strength he needs.

Considering that quickness was never his best asset, it's definitely a killer. Medicine has come a long way over the past few decades but he clearly has a issue that doesn't seem to be able to handle the rigors of pro sports. Hopefully he can come back as an AHL'er at the least but maybe an alternative career is in the future. Feel awful for the guy.

It sucks for the kid. He still has a shot at a solid ahl career if he comes back from this.

Solid effort from the flyers. Insane the penalty disparity. Should’ve been up 3 or 4 to zilch but that was price in net

Unfortunate news for the Flyers, too, having to carry his cap-hit for the rest of the season.

That is just terrible for big Sam. I always rooted for him because he had such a passion to play in the NHL. Poor kid must be devastated.

Man, I really feel for Morin. But the draft slot aside, the dude just cannot catch a break with his health. In 2014, in his D+1 preseason, he looked like a guy who probably could have staked down a top-6 role given what they were working with. Healthy and other issues, not including his seemingly lackluster play, have made it increasingly hard for him to get any sort of NHL foothold, and now it's likely the final nail in the coffin.

Good luck Sam Morin. I regret that i will never see a 6' 7 monster on our blue line now. I was cheering for you the whole way.
The hockey gods were strongly against him.
I feel so bad for what he is going through today. His prime years of development have been spent on injured reserve.

The AHL has not been friendly to our monster Sam

Yes. I was just sick when I heard the news. I just feel so bad for him. He's a great kid with really nice parents and I hope he recovers and makes it all the way back

I think so too if he can get over this injury and stay healthy afterwards. Might not be here but another org will take a chance on him.

Best wishes to big Sammy for a complete recovery! He has banked a lot of good luck with his great attitude. I hope for success in whatever his future holds.

I certainly hope so, for Sam's sake. He will give it his all. The sad reality is that he will have missed 90+ percent of three straight seasons -- and crucial years where he'd have naturally evolved from prospect to close to whatever the finished product would be -- plus all the mental hurdles of trusting his knee again and trying to recover his game. I really, really hope he can defy the odds and make it back again.

I no longer have a vote in the Masterton Trophy because I had to give up my PHWA membership when I started working for the Flyers. But if I did, Sam would have my vote.

Unbelievable the injury luck this kid has had. Simply not fair.

It seems like the Flyers have the worst luck with injury problems... Lindros, primeau, Lappy, Pronger, Lindberg, Patrick, and Morin just to name a few.

I wonder if this will make things a bit easier come expansion draft time.

I don't think I'd classify Lindbergh (Pelle, I assume) as "injured."
