Serious question - does Matthews need to play with a better player? McDavid has 💯 looked better with Draisaitl, but there’s no question who the leader is there. Seeing Matthews just skate that puck around makes me wonder what could be is all. I found myself asking that question.

I know you’re joking (somewhat), but I’d like to see Marner with Matthews. I think Matthews is one of the best players in the league, but I just wonder if at his age he can use some other skill. Maybe Tavares could work with someone “lesser” like Nylander (I mean that relative) and elevate his game. He did a lot of that on the island. Just a thought.
