maybe they're just following the footsteps of last year's Blues?

A few guys on their last legs... Tear it down at the deadline, get what you can. Sit Parise and anyone else not performing for younger players. Anyone you can waive, should be waived. Expose all of them to the Seattle Thunder Chickens for the expansion draft.

Even I feel too bad for you guys to make fun of the Rask trade....

For real though, Leopold needs to pull his head out of his arse and let the Rebuild Nuke go off. I literally see Dumba when I look at this club, tear everything else down.

That was pathetic last night. So frustrating for Wild fans 8 games in and guys just mailing it in.

Fire sale all the vets and see what you could get for Duber for picks in this yrs draft and go from there.

Can't imagine them fixing this by trading away first round picks.

You'd think as long and hard as Buffalo worked to get Jimmy Vesey you'd want to hold on to him forever.

I'm going to take a postive spin on this. At least our chances of getting a top 3 pick are increasing every game!

So you propose the Wild trade for the one position they aren't totally boned on and give up the one thing they absolutely shouldn't?

Not only should they not do that they should not trade with Buffalo....those have never really worked out for either team.

No disrespect to Zucker, but maybe learn how to control the puck and complete a pass without turning it over before calling out the rest of the team... plus he himself looked pretty lethargic last night... and that was before he took the puck to the knee..

Exactly, trading away picks is the last thing this organization needs to do... They need every future pick they can get to restock the youth movement.

Rebuild will be tough. Parise and Suter need to go and those contracts are unmovable unless you are going to keep a large chunk of cap over the course of all those years...

i think both players are movable. especially Suter. and eating salary won't be a huge issue if they go into a rebuild.

Huge risk to move them. Another team doesn't have the incentive to find a magical injury for the last couple years of their contracts. Which is the only way MN avoids massive cap recapture penalties on them.

Suter absolutely does not need to go as he is still a pretty consistent contributor and most certainly isn't worth absorbing any penalties from trading him/early retirement,e tc.. Too expensive, yes, but still producing and there is pretty good evidence he can continue to produce for at least a few more years with the way he plays.

Parise on the other hand is potentially going to get really bad because of the way he plays and we just need to hope he produces well enough the next couple of years before burying him on LTIR once he is only being paid 1/2 mill a year.

Agreed... Although i do think Suter is the most "movable" of the two, or at least the safer... Might as well hang on to Parise, hope he can help for the next season or two more and then throw him on LTIR for the rest of his career/contract.

....long season, it's gonna be a long, long season.

Yes, I cut and pasted this from previous posts. Thinking I might start putting as much effort into my posts about the Wild as they do in games.

But I agree, Suter is one of the more tradable assets that BG has right now. It's just gonna be really, really difficult for BG to make any trades of vets because there is so much term with most of them. The Wild are going to be in a bad position for at least 2-3 years. Fletcher made sure there was nothing of high end value to develop and Fenton locked the team in contract hell.

How about this trade idea? I'm copying it from someone else's post from another site.

Staal & Suter to the Oil for RNH, Jesse Puljujarvi and Caleb Jones. There would have to be some cap retention by the Wild to make it work (guessing around $3 mil of Suter's deal). The Oil get their true #2 C in Staal and my guess is that Suter would be the best D man on the team. It releases EDM from their headaches with Puljujarvi as well. Wild can put RNH at #1C spot, in between Fiala and Kunin. Or Zucker and Kunin.

There's absolutely no way that the Oil would do that move. I don't think they'd move RNH for those two, let alone putting in Caleb Jones. RNH is a much better #2 center than Staal at this point. But it would be an amazing haul if BG pulled that off.

Season ticket sales are going to suffer hard after this season. And after Zucker calling out the big man on the bench, it's a sure sign that if the Wild don't turn things around in the next couple weeks, people will be on the move. Including BB. The only player I would sad to see go is Dumba, but even then... FINALLY A TRUE REBUILD IS UPON US, HURRY UP AND MAKE IT HAPPEN SO WE CAN FINALLY GET THE TRUE GOAL SCORER WE HAVE ALWAYS ASKED FOR! I mean, we had Gabby, but he was made out of glass, so he don't count.
