Vegas “all time”>> habs. If you put all those slow dinosaurs out there against current nhlers, even in their prime they would get schooled so badly. I know you old fellas will hate this, but the game is way too fast for those relics. |

You can never have too much grit and experience.
I believe in this instance, yes, yes you can. I am not happy with this "hockey man" move. WTF Chuck? |

If you're putting them all in their prime, and giving them todays equipment and training, as an entire team, I don't understand how the Habs wouldn't absolutely obliterate every single team in the league. The Oil have some good offence, but their defence and goaltending are far below that of Montreal. This is a really cool idea though! |

They would. You could argue that the 1976 team alone would be better than any all-time team |

They don't have an extra forward. I'm fine with the Stewart signing as long as he's not going to become a typical everyday player.
Only need him for games against teams who have a Lucic, Wilson, Marchand kind of player. |

'76 Habs vs mid 80's Oilers at their peak would have been EPIC! |

Maybe I don’t understand something, but how does Chelios not make an all time Habs team?
Am I bringing too much logic to the party!?Sylvio Mantha... I don’t really know who that is. |

I'm looking for 2 replacement managers for fantasy. These 2 guys were no-shows for the 1st week of the season and aren't responding to my messages or emails. It's just 1 week so the season is salvageable. No money, large rosters, 20 teams, stats are the usual plus hits and blocks. Both teams aren't hopeless and have decent goalies- Smith/Varlamov, and Gibson/Raanta/Dell.. with 1 starting goalie spot. Message me if you're interested. Thanks. |

Stewart is a stopgap until Patrick returns. Nolan is with the team this road trip and is getting closer.
No big deal. Let’s move along. |

Ah, if only Bernie would’ve been healthy in 76. Flyers were the 2 seed without him. It would’ve been curious to see if they coulda gone 3 straight had his neck been alright.
But, we’ll never know. It’s all hypothetical. Habs won it with an amazing team. |

When Patrick is ready to play, it's not going to be Stewart who is the odd man out.

I have two (edit: three) things to say.
1) Subban was a very charismatic, talented and just fun player to watch when he was in Montreal and I know that you decided to put him there because of the rule saying you need to have a player who played in the 2000's, but considering that this player could technically be Chris Chelios or even Guy Carbonneau (Not as good, but if you want a defensive center, the guy who took care of Gretzky in 1993 isn't a bad choice), I think they might help more.
2) For people saying that the Golden Knights would win because today's athlete in better shape and have access to better tools to train, I think it's pretty much besides the exercise here. Obviously sport and athletes evolve, you have to consider the context for All time teams to make any kind of sense or be any kind of fun.
3) As far as the goalies are concerned, I get why some people are asking why Patrick Roy isn't there, but Montreal's History is just too rich when it comes to great goalies. I mean, they give the Vézina trophy to the best goalie every year, George Vézina played for the Habs and yet the guy is not on the team either...they'd pretty much all have been justifiable choices. |
