Hate to say this and I'm trying not to be disrespectful but the Minnesota Wild just seem to be a team...league wide that no one really talks about much or seem to care about much. They don't seemed to get marketed well either. The Minnesota area itself seems to be a really great hockey location as the arena always looks full and lots of minor hockey in the area but just seems the team doesn't attract much attention from around the league. Always seems like a tough team to play against but that's where it stops, they're barely ever talked about.

To your point Dan, it was getting fairly sickening listening to LaPanta last night drone on about what tremendous start to the game the Wild had and how it was there best 60 minute performance to date...

Just another hometown Homer not unlike Paul Allen or Richard Bremer... Granted it was only the 3rd game of the season, the Wild didn't play bad and truthfully it probably was there best effort to date, but lets face it, they didn't look unnaturally good... they played a decent period or two of hockey, nothing more. THey looked like an NHL hockey team is supposed to look like... and to be honest, they had about a 10 to 12 minute window in the game just before they gave up 2 goals inside of 48 seconds that they actually did look like they were just a little above mediocre.

Agreed. Trade Koivu, trade Dub's, trade whoever they got to do to get picks and prospects. This team doesn't have a shot in a ducks fart of competing for a cup until that rebuild starts. No more, "Hey we made the playoffs!". Playoffs mean nothing if all they do is crush us in the end (Pssssss, TWINS). Until then, keep choking Wild!!! Get that first overall pick so we can get a natural goal scorer we have ever longed for
