I don't think Q will have things completely turned around on Day 1. But I'm looking forward to a good year. Preseason shows both the talent and how far there remains to go.

Totally agree, Jimbo. No one has it all figured out day one, but he's a good start to begin working on it.

I saw parts of the Hockeyville game. There were times when they seemed to come out of their zone calmly and under control. Other times they looked like they did last year, scrambly and chaotic. Q said that they haven't really practiced a lot (yet) on D systems. The players were split into three groups for first three days of camp. Two groups would have a half hour practice session and a scrimmage game, while the third group just scrimmaged twice. Then they went to Nashville and then right to Quebec, now to Dallas for Saturday game before returning home. The real work on defense likely begins next week. I think they've been more focused on scrimmaging to see who stays and who goes to Springfield or to their Junior team.

Hey Rats,

Kind of thought we weren’t seeing the “real” defensive scheme(s) yet. I know some fans are hitting the panic button, but these games seem to be about getting looks at some of the young guys and their potential - for now and/or later.
