I see the Hawks' PK is in mid-season form. They've given up goals on the PK in all 3 games ... course maybe they could take fewer penalties - that would be nice.

Gilbert recovered and was where he needed to be. Highmore was slow to support Gilbert as he tried to get the puck up. Bad read on his part. They all kind of recovered.

In the end, it was more bad luck than anything. Seabrook stepped up to block the shot and it landed right on the guy's stick.

By system, I meant player quality rather then a system of play. I'm not gonna get all worked up about a bunch of Hawks minor league players losing to a bunch of Detroit minor leaguers. I'll hold that until at least a full period of real hockey.

Ah. I wasn't even considering players. I was talking about systems. TBF, a lot of the Hawks players haven't played in Rockford yet.
