Not sure about any of this contract termination bullpoop, but what I do know is that Lauzon is making Moore expendable and Blidh is starting to make Nordstrom expendable...
- JEFF SPICOLI

wonder if Lauzon can keep it up...young guy, but he is not hesitant to hit and shoot the puck...Nords is staying around me thinks...think he has flu?

Lauzon is solid. My gut feeling is that he’s ready. Maybe some hiccups in the road along the way as is normal with young defencemen, but no doubting he’s an NHL caliber player.

Certainly looks it. I agree he makes bottom pair players expendable. Plenty of depth if we drop one

Man that's a tough one. Wildly varied reports on what the cost would be, what's up with the slump, how bad is the injury going forward, is he a jackass. Rfa right?

Absolute terror vs. TB last year, fits the bill. Great low risk move if it's not a massive price I think

I’m not worried about the slump, it would all be water under the bridge with a new team. And we already know what he’s capable of. We stick him with some talent and I’m not concerned about that at all.

The biggest problem is that it doesn’t seem like Columbus is looking to move him. Which would mean it would likely take a king’s ransom to get him here. That part I’m not sure about ...

Worth kicking the tires on though.

Sportsnet reporting that the Bruins are interested in Kovalchuk ...

The Bruins trading for a guy they could have had earlier in the season without giving up anything? Is Kovalchuk Russian for Stempniak???

Wake up, Donny.

Told that there are teams who have expressed some level of interest in #Bruins forward David Backes. Many are on his no-trade list. He’s submitted a list of 8 teams he will accept a trade to. Increases to 15 this summer. Team is keeping him off the ice to avoid potential injury

From Strickland

I believe a receiving team can only take Max 50% of the salary?

TB Wins again and now 1 point behind with same number of games. 15 point dad was a long time ago. Not sure it matters as no idea who will be 3rd place in division or the wild card I need the conference. Hate the predictability of the playoff format.

How much for Rakell?
Grz, Frederic, 1st?
Reaching, but I have a feeling something big is coming out of left field.

No on Thornton, guy is a born post-season loser. Doesn’t make us better IMO.

Pageau is a center, doesn’t really address the need.

Miles Wood plays on the left side, see above. He’s also young and signed to a pretty decent contract for the next couple years. Likely part of the rebuild in NJ.

Simmonds is as slow as Chara ... Doesn’t make the 2nd line better IMO. About 5 years too late.

He’s definitely an intriguing option. Versatile.

Question is, is Anaheim willing to part with him? Pretty good contract he’s on ....

Guy on XM radio said today there has been some rumours with Bruins and Tatar...is a LW tho but signed to 2021 but cap hit of $5.3M...dont think Bruins can do that with having to sign Krug...

Krug thing will be interesting. Lots of comments about him wanting to go to Detroit as born in Michigan.

I dunno...basically Wings are years away from being decent; not sure he wants to do that...

He's my white whale. Cost would be enormous as mentioned but with his good size, all around game, snipe abilities and that contract it's worth DS taking a swing. Pure shot in the dark looking at teams who could be selling.

I like Tatar, guy can convert. Wouldn't mind it but wouldn't love it either.
I'm confident Krug will be here.

Agreed ... He’d be a great pickup, just not sure he could be had without a major piece going back the other way. If at all ...

He’s younger too ... Guess here is that they probably want to keep him.
