It's become a bit of a sickness with me (usually ask, they will let you sneak one out). But I'm running out of cupboards at home.
We stayed in a bed and breakfast in Maine this summer. Entire family had the lobster dinner, and the local brew in a beautiful pint glass. I didn't "obtain it" - and now every time I look at the picture from the dinner, it bugs the poop out of me. - Atomic Wedgie
I'm now 'aware' so I'm going to have to build a cabinet for all the beer glasses I bring home.
Sometimes the local brewpubs (biermrkt, barhop, etc...) will have glasses from their suppliers. I ordered a dozen Lagunitas glasses b/c I liked them. Strong mason jars with a bulldog on the front.
Term. He probably would have signed for ~4 milly on a 3 or 4 yr deal but to get all 8 years it get bumped up to $6.25. - The Law
They weren't going to let another good young d-man leave. I'm sure this contract will look good in a few years but you do have to pay a bit to have some people stay in Winnipeg... and that's my home town

So much goodness here.
The hamburger looks like crap.
Those "chips" look straight out of the McCain freezer.
The decor is exactly how I remember it.
But my favourite is the actor biting into the burger at the end. I'm sure he was in every bad CanCon show for 20 years - from Hangin' In to the Littlest Hobo.

So players note even-strength goals when looking at contracts - senstroll
Well, yeah, if it works in their favour. If they're lousy at it, they'll use other metrics. "I'm the best goal scorer when the goalie isn't in the net" or "No one scores on our net like I do.". Both of which may be why Laine is still in negotiations.

You've got to love the late 70s / early 80s freeze frame at the end. They just don't do it like that anymore.

And in Marners case it’s “I barely score at all but give me money like the best goal scorer per/60 in the past 3 years.”

There used to be one at the corner of Yonge and Carlton - a friend used to go with his dad before Leafs games (the parents were divorced - dad was the classic "big event when I see you every other weekend dad). But I don't remember ever going there.
But there was one at Lawrence and Don Mills - we had more than a few family meals there.

They need to let him sit for a year. I hear Switzerland is beautiful in the winter. It's incredible how quickly my favorite player in the NHL has moved to one of the worst, slightly ahead of cry baby Eichel. The leafs, and probably a few other NHL teams, need to take a stand on these clowns. Call the bluff, let'em sit and think about what they've done. I would also make sure that everybody knows what exactly was offered and I would tell Marner that the offer that comes next year will be even lower because they aren't sure if he could deliver the same way after sitting out a year. You want to curb this millennial entitlement BS, you're going to need to make an example out of a few of them. As a die-hard leaf fan, I would be willing to throw another season away to fix this moving forward.
I am not a Leafs fan - so I really don't care, but Marner declining a 7 or 8 year 11 mil contract!! That is beyond ludicrous. I say let the little puke rot while he sits out. I know the Leafs want him/need him in their line up, but at what cost? You guys won't be able to ice a Stanley Cup team with him getting 20%ish of the cap.
Trade him for the boat load of assets that he would invariably bring, and move on. In the long run the team will be way better off than keeping that selfish of a player in the locker room. The Leafs are stacked talent wise even without Marner. Get rid of him for some A+ talent that can play now - plus draft picks and become a better team because of it.
I am thinking Doughty plus L.A.'s first and a 4th in 2020 for Marner. Would that fly in Leaf land & Kings land?

I used to ask if I could buy their fancy beer glasses when I was at a bar/pub and they pretty much always just said I could have it. Once in a while they actually would make me pay but that's fine. Definitely beats stealing them, it's guilt-free. My beer glass selection is better than most bars now and quite a few of the glasses are one-offs you can't really get anywhere now. - daeth

I don't think LA is in much of a position to move their 1st round picks for a few years, but I get your sentiment. What's being reported is out of hand

You know hes scored more goals the past two seasons than willie his first two (but willie is a great scorer).
Oh and has led the team in pts for two years
Only leaf player to break 90pts in a season in s decade or so.
Hes asking for too much sure, but lets not get carried away.
