Damn.
I must say, Quebec has become quite the hot spot for craft beers.
I keep finding new and amazing stuff. - Scabeh
Yeah it got better after breweries decided that there was a world of beer outside of malty syrup dirty bathwater. |

No problem - I trade a lot with people in different parts of the country (US). If you're ever in the states and looking for a good spot, I'll have one for you pretty much no matter where you go. Shoot me a PM if you're ever interested or want some info. |

Or you can just take a weekend and go drinking in Montreal - TheMussel
Walking 3 minutes to buy this from the depanneur is one of the best things about the Montreal. The next best thing is the latex fetish parties on the streets. |

But no, I'm talking about beer. It's not exactly the most legal thing |

Seriously, Max - can we please stop with the insults of Marner's mother?
The only thing - the only franking thing - that you know about her is that she stood up and "did the floss" during the mothers' trip.
That's the sum total of what you know about her.
So drop the misogynist crap about Marner's mother. It makes you look like an arsehole. - Atomic Wedgie
??? Didnt see you stand up to defend Marner's dad when people call him crazy / a-hole / d-bag..?? |

Bellwoods in Toronto is pretty decent - RickJames77
Truth be told ....I could throw an empty beer bottle from my house and hit Bellwoods so I have no complaints in life about beer.
They did a colab with Evil Twin this summer ....awesome.
Evil Twin ...probably the best brewer of beers in all the lands. |

Wait, what?
You trade beer?
How do you ship it? - Atomic Wedgie Zip lock the cans or bottles, bubble wrap the poop out of them, Styrofoam the interior of the box, put some more padding in there, bring it to the post office and that's that. I've probably sent about 100 boxes and haven't had a single issue either on my end or something I've received. I've shipped about 18 cans & probably 6 750mls in one box, but that's the most I've done.
The shipping costs are the problem, but if you're looking to get something from a particular brewery you like that doesn't distribute then there's really no other way to do it.

Evil Twin ...probably the best brewer of beers in all the lands. - The Law They're very good, but I very much disagree with this. Trillium does some stuff with Bellwoods - BOLO
They did a Nanaimo stout here with them that was great.
Edit: Actually, now that I think of it, Evil Twin was in on that collab
My tops are: Toppling Goliath (Iowa) (they're in house stuff not distro), Tree House (MA) , Hill Farmstead (VT), Aslin (VA), Other Half (NY), J Wakefield (FL), Angry Chair (FL), Parish (LA) and Monkish (CA) |

There's about an 8-year catalog of Paul Marner stories, all of which (anecdotally) tell the tale of him using his son's talents to inflate his own ego. He has a certain reputation in rinks in the Toronto area.
And then there's an animated .gif of his mother dancing at a Leafs game, and you are calling her white trash.
Am I missing something here, Max?
Do you know a damn thing about her other than the one animated .gif? |

Ya, always going to be hard to compare. So many great breweries out there. I did a stint in Oregon last summer ...OMG - gotta be the brewpub capital of the universe. Every small town had two or three breweries. We drove the coast and every little poop hole fishing town had a brewery (or two) and the beer was always great.
My access to Evil Twin in Toronto has been pretty good. They're on tap at a few spots and they colab with my local favourites so I'm biased.
Blood Brothers in Toronto - another indisputable elite, IMHO. |

It's too bad I'm never in the states but it's bound to happen at some point.
I do have that friend who does trips to Vermont to pick up beers over there from time to time.... I should join him...... My love for beer demands it.....
My girlfriend and my kids obviously disagree but WHAT DO THEY KNOW ABOUT LOVE? |
