Let's be real... if mitch doesn't take responsibility... then he's acting like a child. he's a grown man... be accountable. I could see blaming the agent during the season, or even the first few months of the offseason... but when it's gone this far it means either mitch is just a dummy and scared to talk to his agent... or its mitch actually saying no to the offers given to him.

The problem with this argument is Matthews played 68 games to Marner's 82. Auston leads the NHL in 5 on 5 goals since entering the NHL, and judging a player's ability by Babcock's usage is crazy. Matthews is 38th in TOI among ccs. Does that mean he's not that good?
A different coach and Matthews would be playing a ton more.
