Leo Dicaprio was great in that movie.
Big plus to your Pierre McGuire bit.

Does everyone rag on Regis?? Does he have anyone besides NBCSN in his corner? Will he ever get a GMs job or has that boat sailed?

I've don't get the reference or nickname, but assuming you're talking about Pierre McGuire, the reason everyone rips on him is because he's awful. You can't rule an NHL owner out of doing anything, but I would be extremely surprised if someone thought that McGuire was worth a shot as a GM - if he was given the job, he'd be one of the worst of all time.

I think The Police would still be together if the drummer wasn’t such a weirdo.

Oh well, they put out a couple good tunes and made a bazillion.

Shapiro's decision to acquire Vladdy should win him the Baseball Nerd trophy for sure.

It is funny how you state that you no longer know anything about sports other than hockey and a few bullet points later you are talking poop as if you are the authority on all that is baseball.

It is an amusing contradiction, and I don't know anything about the NBA or the NFL, but I still follow the Jays, and my point doesn't take a ton of knowledge to make anyways - the Jays have an awesome team, Marcus Stroman isn't an ace, and people are over-the-top in their hatred for a GM who seems to be doing exactly what a rebuilding team should do.

It's amusing how you think 53 wins and 79 losses and 31.5 games out of first place is an awesome team.

Shapiro and Atkins have done a great job putting together a solid core that should be a competitive team for a long time. The Jays have been awful for the last few years because of Anthopoulos. He decimated their minor league system trying to win and handed out a bunch of awful contracts. There's a reason he bolted when he had the chance. He knew the process to get back to any form of competitiveness was going to be long and painful.

Toronto fans for whatever reason can't seem to process that Toronto is not a destination city for MLB and NBA players. Toronto teams can't stay competitive like the New Yorks, Bostons, and LAs by just signing all the best free-agent talent. They have to build their teams, and Shapiro and Atkins have been doing a great job.

Dude, Sting was f'ing good, period. The Dream of the Blue Turtles is excellent and his vocal work on Gabriel's Message is incredible.

The future looks good. Jays have some good young players to build around. However they are not an awesome team right now (as Yimmy said). Far from it. 53 wins and 80 losses. Nuff said.

Yeah idk about the Oilers. I don’t think it’s fair to rag on a coach who Seattle had pegged to get things in order; coaches deserve second chances too. This is assuming that they vet him properly through the interview process

Holland definitely had some bad moves in DET but they don’t appear done. Looks like they’re still in the market for a defender and once camp is over they’ll probably pick one up off waivers. He inherited some really bad contracts. I don’t think Sekera should’ve been bought out but he still have cap space to utilize because of it and he clearly won the Neal trade along and some of the signings like Jurco, Chiasson, Granlund and to a lesser extent Archibals are like lottery tickets which are fine

Jackie Brown is amazing and underrated, but it's still hard to argue with Pulp Fiction. I'm a fan of all his movies though.

Tarantino movies are great in that you can pick almost anyone as your favorite and people be like, “yeah, that was a good one!”

PLUS: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Just for being a movie that wasn't sequel or a superhero movie, this gets points. I would have liked to know more about the era of the movie going in, and at three hours I was a little bored during some of the ten+ scenes, but I have also kept thinking about it since I saw it.

There has been more written about 1969 than any year since the end of WW2.

Vietnam, Apollo 11, Woodstock, the summer of love, the Manson family, hippies, etc.? Really, you didn’t know much about 1969? One of the most transformative years in history.

Try reading a book.

If your going to write about how great a current gm is and shiv the smart one who bolted for greener pastures you gotta get your facts straight. It was A.A who signed vladdy Jr....Now name 2 prospect that AA traded that are still in the major leagues without looking it up...stick to writing about hockey....next plus/minus you will be writing about Kessel and a hot dog problem

Specifically it would have helped to know about cowboy movies and shows, and TV for the time period as well as a little bit more about the cult stuff.
