Good blog as always Tyler. My prediction:

Kubalik does a lot better than Kahun. He scores 25 goals and is a finalist in the Calder voting behind Kaako and Hughes. He’s on a line all season with DeBrincat and Strome. He will also play on the second power play unit.

Not really ... the only thing they can learn is where to get their next meal.

The trick is you have to start with a little bit of info, if you go over 2 words you lost them, kiss technique

Perhaps someone can teach him the difference between "there" and "their" and probably "they're" too.

Saad could hit 30 if he plays on PP2, which I think he will.

Just because someone is on the PP, doesnt mean they will score on it

Especially with the 15-30 seconds the second unit sees anyways.

True, my point is that he will get more offensive chances (in theory) than just as a typical 3rd line player.

That's when I yell at them, when I see the push em back entry. I yell a lot at individuals, but that one gets under my skin the most. I'm glad the pp got rolling in the final half of the season. I'm at least hopeful for that trend to continue into this season.

Colliton does use the push em back entry but in a different way. As opposed to the push em back to a lone Kane to carry it in, Colliton begins their breakout with two players trailing. The puck is dropped back to one, who can then carry it in himself or pass it across to the other, who can then carry it himself or swing it wide.

I noticed that difference in JC vs. Q entry - seemed to have worked much much better.

Re: the Sporting News list of top prospects AND the individual team lists by Steve Kournianos

Wondering if wiz would hsve them in this order
Also if a player or two needs to ne includrd and someone drops down.we retain rights still of the russian center/forward whom previously was below par in Rockford

I didn't bother to answer in the last blog because my time is about ranking the kids for the next drafts, and you know what we all could make a list in either category and it really is just a prediction, a printed discussion point to garner interest to read the piece.

I just know that my 2019 Draft Mock all year was more accurate than the Sporting News contributor lists on his Draft analyst site.
So no need to try and beat the unpredictable future of prospects before any have shown much expertise NHL wise except maybe Makar's brief indoctrination.

I do find it interesting that NBCSposrt Chicago was so quick to site the Boqvist Dach in the top group on their site.

Personally no one can decide that Kakko is better than Hughes, that both are better than Dach, that Vancouver's Hughes is a lesser light than Boqvist, and of course the Bowen Byram ranking is gonna always ruffle my feathers.

I gess I am never sure why you do a list that kinda gets trash canned really quickly once the kids on it stay and excel in the NHL, while other kids on it are going back to develop to show if they are "there" later.

as far as the hawks, I gotta think Dach is the real deal, and Boqvist will eventually play in the league, and the Mitchell gets his chance sooner, and Nylander will too, and the reason you don't see an MacKenzie Entwistle on this type list (a guy who will know his role when / if given the chance) is they are trying to highlight the offensive guys from lower leagues past and kinda make up a list that is meaningless until the ac tally show up in the NHL a do something....
you saw that post from the old program saying "future Blackhawks" all of who are still just names of guys who "could have" been future Blackhawks...so dismiss the list.

I will say I wish the Sporting News would pay me to do that kinda work, lol!

Perlini will score 11 goals... over a 2 week span in January.

NYLANDER with 6 tucks? Blackhawk fans, he's a bust. Traded there best D prospect for a player that wont play 50 NHL games.

One person that I think will exceed fans expectation for goals is Caggiula. He had 12 goals in 55 games last year. 7 in 29 games with Edmonton and 5 more in 26 with Chicago. He got some Top 6 time with Kane/Toews and I could see him finding some shifts with those two again. If he stays health, he has a shot to score 15+.
- breadbag

I know, BB - nice point. I wanted to give him more but didn't think it made sense of he plays bottom 6 (primarily 4th line).

If he gets the chance though higher up the lineup I can easily see him scoring closer to 10 goals.

Tyler what a whirlwind of a head spinning article.

Lol .
Some of your points I'd agree with Kane, toews and cat taking a step back.

I think with the depth Chicago added and the retooling of the defense and goaltending

I see a more balanced team overall with Chicago's forward group putting up easily 20 to 30 goals more.

Strome I think will have 20 goals but his assists will be in the mid 40s

Nylander I'm going with 15 goals I honestly think the change in scenery will rub off on him like it did for strome.

Dach I think wins rookie of the year that's my prediction

Bold as well.

25 goals would be an amazing feat for Kubalik.

IMO if he reachs 15 that would be massive success.

I like him a lot but need to see him in NHL action.
