Tyler Cameron: Predicting Blackhawks Goals – Forwards
We've looked at the defence for Chicago. They scored 40 goals last year and I predicted that they score the exact same amount next year.
Overall, the Blackhawks scored 267 goals as a team. That means 14.9% of tallies came from the backend with 85.1% coming from the forwards.
Let's have some fun with predictions for 2019-20. |

Dach, that's bold, i like it |

I think the individual numbers and the 270 goal team total are accurate. However, we all know that the key is reducing goals against. The signing of Lehner as a 1B goalie, additions of DeHaan and Maatta as experienced defensemen and the 3rd/4th line additions, on paper, should get that the goals against down from last season's 292 to a more respectable number in the 250 range. Lots of new faces on the team. Hopefully it won't take everyone long to develop the needed on ice chemistry.
35 and 21 goals for Cat and Strome seem reasonable. I have to think that next year at this time both will be unsigned like Laine, Tkachuck, Point, and Marner are this year. |

I posted this up late on the last blog. NHL salaries for 1990. The amounts are interesting and kinda shocking even considering that it was 29 years ago. Regardless there are some great and not so great names listed here.

There is going to be coverage on this site exactly how Colliton's new system works. We can guess how well it does, indeed, work out. Reportedly there will be the affect of less goals both for and against.
Perhaps equally important as how well this works, is how hard the players work to be accountable. Because, after all i personally do believe Colliton wants a greater emphasis on toughness and effort. That would go hand-in- hand with personal accountability. Players chafe to this will receive more playing time
Ok so how this impacts your predictions -
At first i wanted to say your totals for some players is too low. But the system means less scoring so somewhst conservative numbers aren't really conservative?
Right?
Well i just have to toss the following out for others to debate:
Saad is due and really wants badly to hit 30. While all players badly want imagine Saad wants to bump up his salary since he will have a new family to support. He must feel much better about his value if he makes it up to 30.
And Strome. After the off season work outs
After tasting his first success in the league last season. He will not have only 21 unless he is so very overly devoted to dishing.
Lastly i am not sure what to expect from someone who has bevome a sort of nomad. He is not the prodical player returning home but the recent blurb about how hard he has trained plus wants to prove he can still contribute..........so will he contribute? Originally i thought not; now a big maybe.

I'm putting Adb in the 40 range again. I don't see Perlini coming back, so I'll give some of his goals to to the bottom 6 players. I think Sikura starts to find the twine this season. |

It will be kind of hard for Saad to reach 30 unless he's on the 1st or 2nd line. Personally I like him on the 3rd line to put some balance on the overall lineup.
I lost you in your last paragraph. Who's the nomad to whom you refer?

Once he finds the back of the net, Sikura is going to be a point per game player.
I got him down for 40 G and 40 A... |

M. Cameron said: Of those 267 overall goals, 44.9% came from Kane (44), DeBrincat (41) and Toews (35). Those 3 accounted for 120 goals which is good for 52.8% of goals out of the forward group.
I ask: Does anyone know how that top-heavy 52.8% compares to other teams? |

Another player i was going to refrain commenting about his trending upward goal scoring: DeBrincat.
Here we have someone who is capable of scoring more. Possibly thr better or deeper the talent level the entire team, the more likely he snipes for 50. He gets on a roll his goals scored rise fast..Or so it seemed from last season when (did ) his goals scored jump up from oh say from 15 to 41 in the second half of season?
Whatever.
Like Kane though if you introduce some rrally skillful nrw dmen oh my Kane and DeBrincat are so smart so good and so much able to terrorize their opponent.

Maybe Saad brings effort harder.and all the time. He wants to get 30
Could happen despite how employed in line combo's |

Today's contracts are in US $$$, so I assume that was the case in 1990 too?

Saad Dach Perlini
This to me would be an interesting line, other teams have to play their 5th and 6th dmen. Size, speed, Dach can dish, even seen Perlini make some nice passes. Im sure teams will focus on stopping our top 2 lines. |

NYLANDER with 6 tucks? Blackhawk fans, he's a bust. Traded there best D prospect for a player that wont play 50 NHL games. |

I think Saad will have a career year, playing mostly with Shaw and Dach. |

Im good with Shaw, and most of us know these lines change all the time. I really like the depth at forward this year, traded for some NHL dmen. Can't wait for Boqvist to take the next step. Things are looking good |

Saad & Shaw were 2/3 of one of my favorite lines that the hawks have rolled out. With Dach, I think that will be a good third line. |

Oh i noticed that you accidentally erased the word "Rockford" after the point total. Or used your cell phone instead of computer - don't be a typo guy like myself
Actually i suggest 12 -20 goal range and assists could amount to yes could get 35.) |
