The best thing that Dubas has done is making sure to draft skill rather than focusing on size. Better than the days of drafting slow defense that are 6'5+ and hoping one becomes the next Chara.

it's why Dubas is still being praised by so many fans.
they were even celebrating the Marlies' win as if it were a SC win..
and the GM himself was leading that infantile celebration himself.
low expectations for one of the biggest sports organizations in North America - it's pathetic really.
