The Candiens are getting Lane and Proorov. The Flyers are taking a "No BS attitude this summer." King Henry is being traded to a Cup contender. Mariner has until August 1st to sign with the Leafs. Dubas isn't screwing around. Yzerman is offer sheeting Point but will also re-sign him.

Because that's how Steve Yzerman and the Tampa Bay Lightning do business. RFAs are scared to death of PTOs. More bedlam to come....including a youthful 22 year old David Poile running around the Spectrum in 1970 with his 12 year old friends. Bad blood. 1...2

I hope Chevy doesn't cave in like Dubas did with Nylander. Its time the GM's make a stand on crazy contracts given out to 21/22 year old players.

Those were just the prominent ones. There were many others.

Aside from Nylander...all of them signed. No offer sheets. No bad blood. No holdouts. No missed hockey games. Just normal business that often spills over into September.

But we're led to believe that for some random reason, this summer is different. We're going to see offer sheets, bad blood, holdouts, and unimaginable consequences.
