wow brah, that's the weirdest thing anyone has ever said to me on a hockey blog.
And just for backround, I first got the internet in 1997, the day after Messier left the Rangers and desperately tried to find a hockey blog so I could scream about it somewhere. And yes, back in 1997 that was in fact in my mother's basement, although my waste size was about 30 then I think? I don't know, I know you are obsessing about that aspect of me, but, my memory is a little foggy there. - jimbo83
I always get a kick out of explaining to my young kids that the internet wasn't available until a year after I graduated in '96 |

I know all those blueshirt banter guys and Jess from Prospect Park were having a big fight over whether or not Strome's shooting % is sustainable |

you know what's funny, back then I think we got into more fights on the blogs than we do now, this is nothing.
But I can remember getting kicked off the internet, dial up of course, desperately trying to get back on so I finish going at it with someone but not being able to reconnect for hours |

you should learn how quotes work, most of the time it looks like you are arguing with yourself. based on what you write you're like 12 right? I mean changing a name that is something my 12 year old son would do. |

Were you ever on the AOL message boards? I used to go at it with people on there. Who knows what random screen name teenager me had at the time, but I remember wasting hours on there. Was even very active during the dark years. |

no I was never on that
I was an original on the Daily News Rangers blog, back when the website was www.mostnewyork.com
I was a big big Neil Smith supporter in those days and fighting over Neil Smith was a big topic back then. I used to get called a "Smithee" |

I can't really blame you for that, at the time all we knew from Smith is winning. I don't think a ton of people realize how he gutted the future of the team. I would totally do the Smith era again if it meant winning another cup. I would just hope we had a better plan on how to proceed afterwards. |

Oh man I miss Rock N Jock. Can we bring that back?
Nevermind most modern music acts wouldn't know what to do if someone handed them a ball |

Good choice, the basketball one was so much better than the softball one. How many people actually made the 100 pt peach basket? |

Can we bring back Celebrity Deathmatch except use Instagram celebs and do the thing Mortal Kombat style so that in the end we are only left with 1 of them at most? |

Please dont.
I wake up every morning and before I start my day I check in to see how I should think from celebrities. |
