Happy for the Rangers and their fans.

It's about time teams like Toronto and the NYR go full scorched earth rebuild. Its exciting times, or will be soon, for Ranger fans.

Most on here are very optimistic about the future Jan. Only a couple of sour pills are ruining our excitement.

Is the rebuild perfect? Probably not, but it's pretty dam close. Only ?? Is at center, and if anyone can fill the #2 slot behind Zib, but that is nothing to go crazy about. I Have full faith in JD and Gorton!

I know and I understand being skeptical. But JD and Gorton deserve credit for what they have done to date and the benefit of the doubt to see what the future brings.

Jan, it's not many people just certain ones. they feel they know better than anyone else and their words should be heeded over the people who get paid to do this. How they didn't end up in the NHL is truly beyond reason. Obviously those of us not in the know are more than happy to let Gorton and Co run this team as they see fit and we can either see if the work pans out and rejoice or we can all say the sky is falling because the rebuild didn't take long enough.

I'll be honest I was not totally behind the Panarin signing, but it happened and I think that provides us with a better view of what we can expect Gorton to do and adding Trouba yeah I have no doubt that the future is bright and I can't wait for the season to start!

The odds are with this NYR team doing well in the next year or so. Can't split hairs right now

I used to work with a guy who hit a $100k lottery jackpot years ago. You would think he would be happy and enjoy the winnings and his good fortune. NOPE! He bitterly complained about his tax "problem" for the rest of that year.

My point is: there are always going to be people that are miserable and unhappy in their lives and in their sport teams. I just ignore the negativity of the select few here and focus on how GREAT our off-season has been... It really has been an AMAZING transformation of the Rangers roster since "The Letter" was issued and I am looking forward to this coming season. I can't wait to see our progress manifest itself on the ice.

LETS GO RANGERS!

Dont over think these rankings. Absolutely not knocking the Rangers, their youth and talent coming up looks great. Just saying if you look at the top 10 ranked prospects/systems 4 years ago, only the Jets have made a conference final and it also had Buffalo, Edmonton and Zona in top 4; How’s that working out for them?

You are right!

Prospects won't become anything without good development, coaching, and system in place, and that doesn't always make a prospect a good NHLer either.

Also keep in mind that while having good or great prospects is awesome its not an individual game but how they play together. (Was it) Lingren who did really poopty with the pack came up to bigs and did really well before he was injured. you can't just focus on one player doing well but look who he is playing with.

That was Libor Hajek. Team got ripped from bringing him up and even asking for him in the trade and he looked very stable on the backend. Kind of shows just how bad Hartford was.

The negativity comes from people who just don't understand that the cap space is a part of hockey in a much bigger way than they think! Last year I saw a team that didn't quit! They wouldn't stop fighting until the game was over and it was great to watch. With the additions of Panarin, Kakko, Fox, Kravtsov, Trouba & Shesterkin is HUGH!!! Kakko and Kravstov are NHL ready! Fox may need a little longer but we have a ton of talent that is ready to start and play more. Let's not forget Miller will be here next year and this guy is a beast!!! I can't wait for this all to start!!!!!

Sorry Jan Im just a little pessimist and off course some of the posters dont like it. JG has made some nice draft choices and we acquired some nice talent but like another posted said, some other teams had some very high ranked prospect pools and it hasnt turned out well for them. So until we see it on the ice, its very nice to say but it isnt a reality yet.

Gorton has also had some bizarre signings. Names, Spooner, Smith, and Shatty and because of bad cap management lost Shatty for nothing.

Im hoping Panarin is just another player added to a long list of failed free agent signings.

I think basically what it comes down to, if you can't be positive about the Rangers after an off season like this one you'll never be happy.

explaining to someone that it's going to be fantastic that Kakko and Kravstov will have one of the premiere playmakers that the NHL has had for the last 4 years to play with should not be like banging your head on the wall, but that's what we have to deal with

Brukie has a unique way of putting it BUT hes covered all his bets

1. By saying the pessimistic values about FA's or NYR anything it embraces him like a warm blanket in the winter , IF hes wrong , hes so happy with elation and great results he says "I'm so glad i was wrong and jumps on the band wagon along with all the rest of us ,BUT if he's right ,well.... he is spared the fall from hope & expectations,he sits back & crows ...I told you so !!!...
Now its not a bad plan but to coin a phrase ..

"Its better to have & loved & lost THEN to never to have loved at ALL".....

You lose out on all the after glow we get & satisfaction from our team when we won something like a #2 draft slot : most would dream & vision & enjoy the positive scenarios... YOU SEE ALL that can go wrong :

I will leave you with this IF the Catherine Zeta Jone s or Munn of your life came to you and showed you the promised land ,your 1st thought would be ..
" HOW INADEQUATE IM GOING TO MAKE HER FEEL AFTER SHE SEES & GETS SUM OF MINE"

PESSIMISM SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF YOU CAUSE OF FEAR ..
DONT BE AFRAID ,IT DONT HURT TO BE DISAPPOINTED ,ITS A HUMAN THING
