I wonder if Bruins GM Don Sweeney threatened McAvoy with news that he had signed himself to a PTO?? Maybe Ray Bourque too. Then, in fear of losing his job, McAvoy started to discuss a cheap bridge deal.
I don't know. Just trying to speculate what changed because yesterday we heard the Bruins weren't close to signing him. |

I can only assume this is directed towards Bruins/McAvoy. But that isnt what happened at all. Bruins were in the middle of the playoffs and had lost 4 of their top 6 defensemen, they had little choice but to bring him up. |
