I have seen some highlights which show the good side, but I do remember watching him in the U18 and he was good.

I have seen some clips and speed is definitely not an issue. He is a great passer , sees the ice very well . The thing I like is he can stick handle to the net or crash it. He can play both ways.

I did also notice in the tournament he was very reliable in his own end.

We have more Russian top prospects than Canadians. Fifteen tournaments a year I get tired of pulling out the pom poms to cheer for games with Team Canada. I cheer the prospects now.

The 144 million people it stands to reason. The Russian program is getting better and better. Russia and all the other European programs are catching up. One thing I don't think NA people realize is kids in these countries, no matter the sport eat sleep and breath their sport. Whether it is hockey, arm wrestling or Badminton its all consuming for them and pushed hard at a very young age. While our kids here are on their ass watch youtube and playing Fortnite.

I believe the KHL season ends quite a bit earlier than the NHL season. It's conceivable that he signs his ELC in the spring of 2021 and finishes the year with the Canucks. Burning the first year, but hopefully fewer games so he is not offer sheetable.
