Also worth noting is that Wood is under contract, while Carrick is not. I can't imagine Carrick being too happy stuck in the AHL behind Carolina's defense at age 25. Maybe a change of scenery finally gets him a shot at the NHL.

Very true. The Sharks have more room behind Vlasic in the future than they do behind Burns and Karlsson.

I doubt he goes anywhere, but you never know with Dundon.

On one hand, it's hard to see Don wanting to go to Minnesota, even for a bunch of extra money. On the other, it sure seems like Dundon perceives most of the front office as a bunch of replaceable parts, and he seems content to allow people to pursue opportunities elsewhere regardless of position.

Ultimately, I'm not too worried about anyone in the front office moving along aside from Tulsky. It's when HIS deal is up that I think we'll see how Dundon actually values people, because that guy is irreplaceable.
