How did I know tanner would put Matthews second. He’s not even the first line Center on his team.

If mathews can stay healthy for the year I think he can usurp Crosby here.

Or if Crosby finally starts to age... he eventually has to lose that #1 spot.

Surprised Tanner didn't have Galchenyuk on his list! Or maybe the irrational praise ended when he was traded.

Dominant may not be the right word but he's great at both ends of the ice. Not sure what your issue or agenda here is.

Tough to argue with any of these consensus selections. Sid and Auston definitely 1-2, and Tavares, Barkov, Bergeron likely the next three. Or Malkin instead of Barkov maybe

Ridiculous. Everybody knows that Cedric Paquette is the best C in the East.

I can't believe Max Domi is not #1 or #2.

He’s a pretty complete player, better possession stats then Matthews the last 3.

I'm disappointed. Tanner didn't say anything absurd.

Only a few years back Kadri was better than Tavares so I kind of expected to see "The Dream" on his list.

Couture played 8 seasons and only in the past 2 has he reached over 39 points... the guy just developed into a great center. "Always being one of the league's best defenders" doesn't make him a top 5 center.

So his current value is not based on his play the last 2 seasons? He was solid on D and used for mainly D purposes for many seasons but when upgraded to the top line he proved his worth there and showed why he was a top 10 draft pic. Although I didnt have him in my own top 5 and I'm a Phlly fan

Im confused what you mean by this. I'm not being serious or upset they didn't include Malkin. I'm just making fun of the Pens fans that act like Crosby and Malkin are the top two players in the league. I love Malkin and he's one of my favorite players ever, but I can't argue with the guys ahead of him in this list to be honest.

Malkin the 101st best player in NHL when he is better than more than half of top 100 list.

People can say Tavares is a dominant two-way player all they want, but just saying something doesn't make it so.

He's a great player along the walls, in the slot... basically below the circles. Perhaps the best in the league in those areas. Isn't that enough? Do we have to play with the truth and say he's dominant all over the ice? I mean, c'mon....
