Flyers are trying to clear space to "bring in" another forward. Bring in would only mean sign as in sign a UFA. Obviously if they traded for someone that would most likely mean losing some salary so signing would be the only option here.

Flyers arent looking for anything. They have their team. Hayes was the 2nd best C on the market and we needed to fill that hole. A 3rd line wing would be nice but isnt necessary. We have guys on the farm that can push for that spot and if needed we can add a guy at the TDL. 3rd line wing isnt as important as a 2nd line C. Most teams now run 3 good Cs. The fact Patrick didnt break out hurt us last season. We cant continue relying on young guys to break out at a specified time. Schenn and Couturier didnt break out until their mid 20s. Patrick is 22.

Flyers are fine Capwise. Provorov will sign for 6 and TK will sign for 4.5 mill

I keep hearing the Flyers are looking to make a trade to free up cap space so they can pursue bringing in another forward...The issue here is the Flyers depth is on D, but they really can't trade a D-man until they get Provorov signed...and there is absolutely no progress to speak of there. NONE. Many are speculating the Flyers would be OK with an offer sheet at this point. At least it would give them a timeline and make the choice more clear. I am not so sure, but I do think the Flyers would love to see Werenski or McAvoy sign first.

You know the Flyers will have 8 D men once Provorov is signed and something will happen.. u haven’t heard anything.
