Damn this convo is making me want to skip out on work and go home to play some vids.
And by vids i mean nhl15, assassins creed series and Transformers cybertron on my ps3.
Cause i am way behind on gaming consoles.

My kids live a tough life....no ps4, xbox or switch.
Just ps3 and wii. Poor bastards.
Lol

We still run the Wii in the basement.

It's great for throwing a bunch of kids down there and letting them play.

Wii rocks.

True Wedgie story I'm not allowed to tell anymore:

For our first pregnancy, my wife had preeclampsia (dangerously elevated blood pressure). It was so bad she was ordered to leave work for her 3rd trimester.

Great idea in theory, but my wife is a type A workaholic. So she needed something to do while she was basically forced to sit in bed or on the couch.

She discovered Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. The added bonus of that game was the soundtrack: fantastic 80s music.

So every day, I would come home to see my very pregnant wife sitting on the couch, playing the game, driving around (she liked to stay in the car so she could listen to the music), shooting innocent people with assault rifles and flame throwers and poop.

It was about the weirdest thing I had ever seen.

You ever see a pregnant woman chase a guy on a golf cart and then beat him to death with a driver?

I can't unsee it.

I distinctly remember the golf mission. You had to leave all of your guns in the club house at some security metal detector and that (frank)er was hard to take out

The other ones I really remember from that game was when you had to steal the tank and when you're in a chopper with a gatling gun...those were hard ones IIRC

I've learned to be very humble about my own skills, despite having plenty of experience in pretty much every game type there is.

But I'm sure I could make it interesting for ya.

But to be fair, the only FPS I currently play on a regular basis are Counter-strike: GO and Overwatch.

i've only been playing csgo and battlefield right now. rocking a 7+ KD and 90% winrate in battlefield. should put that on my resume.

perfect dark is significantly better. to this day i don't get why more games don't have wacky secondary modes on all the guns.

My favourite game as a child.

I almost killed one of my friends when he accidentally deleted my character.

I also loved/was really great at Halo 2/3 and Black OPS for FPS.

My brother used to come by to hang out and play. I think this was for the next version: San Andreas.

He'd load in the cheat code, get a jet pack and a bazooka, and then just fly in the air and shoot poop, including the police helicopters that would eventually come. He had no interest in completing a single mission - just blow poop up.

I honestly don't think I played more than 5 minutes of GTA in total - it just never appealed to me.

I basically play the NHL game and that's it.

Skiing.

My younger daughter's favourite thing to do was hang out at the bottom of the run, so that she could go up the chair lift with someone else playing. She thought it was the funniest thing in the world.

Stupid kids.

In GTA 3 you could get a flying tank cheat code and basically control it by firing the turret in the opposite direction

I'm realizing just how odd I am; all I did was playing sports and chasing girls - never wasted an hour on gaming ever.

Must have been nice to play with reliable players. I just joined games by myself and hated all my teammates.

Blackbird, Chopper Gunner, and Dogs.

I was routinely ranked at/near the top of the weekly K/D ratio, since I had to do everything myself.

I also really liked playing Gun Game.

My Amiga 500 came with 512K installed, but you could upgrade it to 1MB. The 512K of RAM itself was $800, and the expansion board was $49. When it arrived I discovered that I needed to install the RAM on the board myself.

I just got a donation of an old Dual Core from 2003 that had 7 500GB HDD's in it and 8GB RAM. It must have been a (frank)ing monster back in the day.

yeah i think our "worst" player still had a 2+ K/D lol. it was ridiculous, it got to the point where you couldn't even use your chopper gunner because half the squad would have one queued up as well and only one could be out at a time. outside of the first couple minutes of a match it sometimes felt like there was a blackbird up 24/7 too.

one thing i do miss is all the trash talking between rounds since everyone used to have open mics. now everyone just uses party chat so you can't hear them.

I had tried to get into it a couple of times. I've actually purchased a few of them on sale, despite knowing that I don't really like them. I like the music in the car, like your wife! I can behind some of the stories. Really, though, I'm just not super good at some of the more fine details of these things. I don't remember which one it was, but there's a mission where you're supposed to fly a drone through a construction site and place charges, and I couldn't get that done for the life of me. And that was the end of that one.

The opening cut scene of the newest one is just n***er, this and n***er that, and I'm like, 'seriously? I don't want to play this. I don't my kids hearing this.', and that was that.

I've played the crap out of NHL, but I still suck.
