Don't be such a grump Fido, would you rather have Markov of Reilly as the 7th D playing 30-40 games?

Maybe Reilly was a sign and trade masterplan by Bergenius !

Because one of them might actually be useful to the team for a few games.

I won't tell you which one.

But it's not Mike Reilly.

Habs don't need a #8 LD, they need a #2 LD

Are you implying bringin in Markov is the one move that would prevent us from getting a #2 LD?

if they do get a #2 LD, that leaves them with Chiarot, Mete and Kulak fighting for 2 spots.
what are they gonna do with Reilly and Markov???

I don't care what they do with Reilly. Unless he learns how to play defense, he's dead to me.

Markov as a 7th/8th defenseman would be just fine.

I guess I'm not as hopeful as you are about us bringin a #2LD. And if don't. Having Markov to help the powerplay and/or replace Kulak/Mete/Chariot if one starts having trouble or gets injured would be perfect.

Markov - Juulsen could be an OK 3rd pairing.

I'm not that hopeful, but I don't see them make the playoffs if they don't.
Markov is done. he was done 3 years ago. and the league is even faster today.
and agreed on Reilly, but they signed him, for 2 years!! so I guess he's here to stay.

if he wants to play on a daily basis, yes it would be better for him.
but no, he'll stay in Mtl imo.

I had made my peace with the idea months ago.

I'm still surprised it hasn't happened.

Even more surprised the man remains unsigned.

I would imagine he's quite disappointed with the term being offered to him.
