I'd like to see both guys back but at the right term and price. Decent players but both guys have clearly defined ceilings. Sissons likely hit his last year. He might accidentally score twenty goals at some point in the future, but a solid 3rd line Center is likely what he'll always be. He basically has the same skill set as Bonnino, just not as consistent or effective at it just yet. 3 years at 2-2.5 sounds fair for him. None of this five or six year for over 3mil crap some of our media guys have been throwing around. Versatile as he is, you shouldn't give term of more than three years for a role player. It's much more likely he plateaus or even regresses than it is that he suddenly becomes a 30 goal scorer.

For Rocco, I wouldn't mind seeing Poile overpay him just a little bit on a one year deal... Just to make sure what he really is, and that everyone isn't overreacting because he had a good playoff series. I think some fans are missing the point that he was playing on the fourth line... Meaning he was often going up against Dallas' fourth line and 3rd defensive pairing, so he was able to find a few more holes to exploit, and to his credit, he took full advantage of them. Put him on the first or second line in that series though, and he probably looks just as overwhelmed as the other guys. I like Rocco too, but let's treat the guy for what he is right now... A sparkplug type player that adds an interesting dimension to your bottom six with the right match-ups, and not potentially the second coming of Arvy.

Agree with Rimaldi. Do not agree with Sissons. He won't commit to a 5 year deal worth that. Maybe 2 mil for 2 years and then he goes UFA.
