So apparently the Lucic for Eriksson deal is dead. Eriksson killed the trade when he refused to waive to come here. So there is no way in hell that contract is going anywhere. We are stuck with Lucic for 4 more years. FML

Would trading RNH make any sense to your team? Sabres fan here and of course we would love to add that second line center, but my question is whether trading him makes any sense to your team? Do you have center depth? I understand your need for D help, but was wondering if you have the depth up from to trade him for a d piece. Not even talking Risto here. Just curious.

We have no top 6 forward depth. We really only have 3 players that can considered regular top 6 players.

While I'm not as big of a fan of RNH as most Oiler fans are and generally have no issue trading him, we can't trade him unless we get a top 6 player back.

We could move Draisaitl to the second line if necessary. There are some risks to that if either him or McDavid get injured though.
