Kaapo Kakko might just be my favourite current NHL players name. I absolutely (frank)ing love saying it for some reason.
And he's gonna be a future stud to top it all off. You guys landed a beauty of a player. He was fun to watch during the World Championships. - LeafGuy89
Columbus traded 2nd rounders in 2020 and 2021 for Dzingel, yikes
I thought they'd keep him - jimbro83
I figured since he was from IL and played at Ohio State he was almost certainly going to be staying there. Tough spot for CBJ, they're going to be a full-blown lottery team next year.

I don't know, if anyone can get something out of a not so talented team it would be Torts

I heard a beat reporter from Columbus on XM last week, and he wasn't surprised at all. Said that Dzingel did not "mesh" with the other guys in the dressing room. I believe he was also scratched from a playoff game, so that kinda says a lot too.

It's kind of amazing the players that they lost without any assets in return. I get wanting to give it a run in the playoffs, but that's a really tough long term pill to swallow hoping for one good playoff run.

I still cant believe they swept Tampa Bay, its pretty insane
JD leaving there after authorizing all those trades really reminds of Bill Murray at the end of Caddyshack, blowing up the gold course and then just walking away while it was burning
cool, now he'll go and (frank) Carolina all up - jimbro83
Take it for what it's worth but have you ever heard Bill Watters on XM? He used to be assistant GM or something of the Leafs years ago. Anyway, he's a very opinionated and kind of crotchety guy, and he was talking about the Devils situation. He does not like Hughes, says he's a "spoiled little brat". Also thinks that Subban will be a big disturbance after a while, and interestingly said that Hall is a loner in the locker room. He doesn't like their situation at all. Again, take it for what it's worth.

I do listen to Bill Watters, recently I called him the "worst listen on NHL XM radio" on twitter
he's a pretty nasty old "get off my lawn" kind of man
