Right but lets say he sits out the whole year. Do they go through this whole process again next offseason or do we lose his rights after the year?

I've said for awhile now, I really want this Chytil, Kravs, and Lemeuix line to happen. As a third line, it could be deadly. Teams would be on their heels.

Could you imagine if both rookies really pan out and we have 3 scoring lines

Interesting, thanks. I don't think this happens with Lemieux at all just using him as an example to get a better understanding of the process. Appreciate it

Ha, no team press releases yet. If one had come out, I would have posted it. Could you imagine is this happened July 1?

That's what contending teams are made of. It's why we really need the 2C thing to pan out somehow, no matter who it is.

The hockey world would have imploded, though it may have help with the surprise if it happened during the draft special.

What if Strome is more than just a flash in the pan? I say we give him a chance to earn his pay

It would be a great thing. He should have a shot at it in preseason, I've just said that 20% shooting wasn't going to be sustainable. Who knows though, maybe he got motivated to get even better.

He should benefit from having some better wingers to play with this year. Not that it hasn't been talked about before here but while we lament over the 2C position, having strong wingers on the 2nd line takes a lot of pressure off the center. If we keep Buch and Kreider, we've added 3 impact wingers in Panarin, Kakko and Kravtsov without losing anyone besides Vesey and maybe Nam.

I think we can agree that there is a ton of offensive firepower on this team. If there ever was going to be a time where Strome or anyone else could put it together as 2C, now is the perfect opportunity. You wonder what would have happened had we stuck him there earlier in the season before we traded everyone? Not that you would have demoted Hayes off the 2C

What happens if the team isn't cap compliant by the time they need to be? Does the league toss the Rangers from the league?

Youtube comment sections are still the bottom of the barrel filth of humanity when it comes to trolling

As a former teacher, nothing was better than Twitter comments towards De Blasio when there was potential "snow" incoming. Loved people ripping into him about all types of nonsense. So funny.
