Cirelli has played better than I thought. Watched him live in the OHL. Hate seeing Seth Jones and what could have been in Tampa. Depth gone from team and not really sure anyone from AHL is ready. This season will be interesting.

I'm hoping JBB deals domingue in a package to free up some cap space and acquire a cap friendly 4/5 D. Johnson I have pegged for Seattle. I'm thinking next season we might have as much as 4.5 million as of now assuming point and erne combine for 10.5. I just don't know who JBB would combine Domingue up with to make room....the only big contract without a clause is Kucherov.

14.75 Mill. Palat and Killorn lose their NTC (goes to partial) and Johnson could be picked in the expansion draft.

Couldn't agree more with Sam. Cirelli is due for a breakout season, especially if he starts to get powerplay time. If they sign him this season, there's a very high chance that the contract would end up being a steal. If not, I could see him making ~ 5 million or so. My hope is that he breaks into the Top 6, so that JBB has the option to start moving out Killorn/Palat/Johnson.

It doesn't matter which line you put Cirelli on if Stamkos and Kucherov go AWOL during the playoffs.

Yeah game 4 vs Columbus Cirelli played with the 2 floaters and in the 3rd period he took him off the line.

Killorn yes, Palat is 2 years away. We know there will be one deal this offseason with Domingue...I think our cap situation is fine with Callahan 'basically' off the books. Point for 8.5-9 and Erne for under 2 mil. Then like you said with Killorn we could look to deal him next offseason possibly being after July begins and perhaps Johnson will waive his NTC for Seattle since it's in his home state.

Killorn has to be gone next year to make room for the young guys they need to re-sign but from there I don't know what they do. You need to sign Cirelli, Sergachev, Cernak, Joesph and biggest of all Vasy. Killorn's 4.45M won't get that done alone.

Next year is the real CAP CRUNCH.

But the expansion draft is not until June 2021 a full two years away so if they need to move more money by then it won't be to Seattle. I think if Johnson is with the team in two years that the Lightning will swing a deal for the Seattle team to take him as he only has a NTC. But the expansion draft is of no help next year.

Realistically they might need one of Gourde, Johnson or Palat to waive the NTC or they will be forced to trade on of their young assets they want to re-sign.

Do you think there's any chance we move Kuch? It would seem as if he is the only substantial player without a clause

Kuch is going nowhere, his contract is a steal for 8 years. They will re-sign Vasy for sure.

If for some reason that they can't trade one of Gourde, Johnson or Palat next off season if they need more cap room then one of Cirelli, Joesph, Sergachev or Cernak will be traded and will bring back a good return but at the cost of a promising young player.

Of the four I would rank them on who to keep first it would Cirelli, Sergachev (lots of people don't like him but his ceiling is so high), Cernak, Joesph.

They could move Paquette, Erne or Coburn next year if they had to as well.
