Weegar never struck me like a rock-the-boat kind of guy. I assume the filing is some sort of formality. Any idea what he's looking for?

I like his game and potential, but he isn't exactly an anchor of the defense yet. This strikes me like a risky move.

Hey Jimbo -

Not sure what he’s asking for, but I’m really curious.

I agree that he’s not an anchor back there (yet), but there is potential to be a good, solid defensman for this team IMO.

I’m curious to see where it goes.

Hello Jimbo, I think it's more formality as there's the deadline to file for a hearing. Best case would be to reach a deal beforehand, I'd like them to keep Weegar around. I haven't heard any numbers that Weegar wants, or even what FL's qualifying offer was. How much of a raise from $900k is a fair deal for Weegs? $1.5m max? Couldn't be more than that, I'd imagine.

Agreed, Rats.

I’d like to see Weegar back. They should be able to get him cheap. Think he’s a solid lower pairing guy with some potential to continue getting better.
