I’m really hoping for one of those 6 year 4.5 mil deals. |

Considering Will Butcher picked the Devils and has been an asset to this team AND he seems opened to either long or short term, I hope the process remains friendly and productive.
Still wouldn't mind if they picked up Gardiner....
It might be a smart play on the D to sign him as free agent and then look to deal Vats. But I think right now we should be trying to hold on to Vats based on who we have.
By the way Michael Del Zotto doing nothing.... Just saying. |

I'm hoping for a similar contract Severson received as well |

Trouba filed for arbitration, as expected. I am really hoping he puts the screws onto the Rags. He has complete leverage here. They either sign him at what he wants or he walks away in a year. I say his ask in arbitration is $10 million, and negotiate down from there. |

wuahaha. mo money mo money!! Apparently quotes weren't working. This is in reference to Trouba, who will demand the world from NY. |

Huge fan of will butcher..i also hope for long term deal since he wants it as well. Butcher is known for his offence but I really think his defense is underrated |

Interestingly it looks like the Blueskirts $8M in cap space and need to sign Trouba, DeAngelo, Lemieux, and Buchnevich. Could get interesting. Trouba was making $5.5M already. I keep hearing they want to move Kreider which seems a little crazy. We will see what happens. Hopefully it goes badly. |

From being one of the oldest, least talented teams in the nhl, straight to a cap crisis. Good management! |

I don't think Butcher is getting a long term deal.
Mueller however could be gotten for four years at an affordable contract since he's actually a pretty good utility defenseman.
My prediction - I'd say Butcher get 3-3.5 x 2 and Mueller gets 1.5 to 2 x 4. |

That’s Stanley Cup winner Michael Del Zotto to you! He was on the Blues extended roster. Doubt he gets his name on the Cup. But yeah, I wasn’t serious. Still shocked he’s only 29 as it seems he’s been around forever. |

Interesting article on Hockeybuzz describing how the Rags can buy their way out of it with a second round of contract buy outs. Kinda crazy but one of the options is Shattenkirk. |

They're fun to root against, honestly. I know Lou did his desperate measures towards the end of his run, but at least we had 3 Cups and 5 Finals. The Rags try so hard, spend so much money, but still... 94-nevermore. sports. |

Never worth what he signed for. But on a cheap contract could provide a lot of value. Amazing, all these guys that wanted to sign with the Rags and they treat them like garbage, can't get rid of them fast enough. Teams want loyalty, but it only works one way.... |

Congrats to MoJo, good contract for Sabres, I thought he would sign for more $s and term. |

yea, good for him! |

Mojo isn’t exactly what these teams needs but that’s a really good deal for his level of skill. I was hoping we’d sigh someone else but Mojo is better then signing Richard. |

Yep good deal for Mojo and the the Sabres. Shame the guy just couldn't seem to stay in the lineup here and when he was he just didn't seem to get it going. |
