Chuckie “bad trades” fletcher is doing things for the sake of doing things. All he has really done is piss away cap space while marginally improving the team while others in the division have improved immensely

Corduroy, how have the Penguins improved? Blue Jackets? Islanders so far?

How have they regressed? How about the rangers? The devils? Hurricanes? Caps?

The Flyers couldn’t compete with any of the teams in the division last year. The drop off for the three teams you listed needs to be enormous. As long as pit has 87/71 they are dangerous. Look at what Lou did with the islanders last season and you are going to discount them now? Columbus is the only team in the division that may have regressed.

Chuck Fletcher built a disastrously mediocre hockey team in Minnesota and seems committed to doing the same thing in Philadelphia. Eating up cap space like mad while making moves that are just a liiiiittle better than lateral.

don't worry Fenton by not doing anything has already won this off season over his predecessor

Sad thing is I think that is likely the right move, don't do any trades over making moves for the sake of moves. They have cap space and can go try and sign some UFA's, but Minnesota is not in a good position when it comes to being a trade partner right now; I think the other 29 teams know this and Fenton is trying to avoid dealing pennies on the dollar.

That doesn't explain the stupid attempt at trading for Kessel, but I think him shutting that down could force Fenton out of the trade pool this year....at least until the season starts.

Can we have someone like Dumba for free next? Maybe dubnyk?

I’m sure we can scrape together another Victor Rask to appease the trade.

Fenton is the worst hire in franchise history and that's saying a lot because we've had some gems like Fletcher
