With Roberto Luongo’s retirement, the cap recapture penalty the #Canucks will have to pay comes in at just over $3 million. However, the 800K they were still paying Luongo in retained salary comes off the books, leaving the actual cap impact at around $2.2 million.

This isn’t a good thing Carol. The Canucks will still sign Myers but now they can’t afford a winger for Bo. All this does is improve Tampa’s return in the Miller trade
