From Winnipeg? No offense, but I wouldn’t trade him to Winnipeg.
That is a tough one though. I like him and think he will have a great year (contract season). I think he was put in a tough situation during the trading deadline with getting moved from Minny while his wife is giving birth to his first child.

If he has a crap year he is UFA next year so you let him walk. If he has a great year (at 5.7) what does that number become ? (That’s why I was only a GM in jr. hockey.)

Rumor has it that Duchene is signing for around $8 million/year. If that's the case, not a bad deal at all. The interesting thing will be Turris. Also, Boyle may be an Islander from what I hear.

I'd still like to see some more firepower though. But I think that the Central is stacked next year, so we need to go for it.

They will probably make it official at noon. The central is stacked and I would like more firepower as well, but where is the money going to come from?

If Poile's plan goes any farther than Duchene, Bonino or Smith are likely casualties if he needs to free up more cap space. I know we'd all rather see Turris go, but let's face it... Nobody's taking him at this point.

I wouldn't be surprised if you won't see a different Turris next year. He knows he had a crap year and will want to prove everyone wrong (i hope) you put some other pieces around him and...who knows ?

Get Sissons signed. His numbers have improved from year to year and he is young.
I'm thinking a long term deal like Jarnkrok 5 years at 1.8

I hope you are right on Turris! I can see Bonino being moved...log jam at the center position.

Well it can't, as they say, get any worse. I think he'll be better too. Players have egos and his is taking a beating because of all the talk going on. He now has something to prove.

If Bonino does get moved it will most likely be for picks/prospects.
