nah, Perry might be slower but he can still produce 20g a year. The big question is...is he healthy? |

I don't think Perry can play with the speed game of the Habs.
I do think he can be effective on another team. |

Perry is now too slow to play for the SLOW Ducks ... so much that they even bought him out.
What would make him attractive to a SPEEDY Habs team?

We already have a gazillion 4th line players ... the Ducks bought him out and he's a legend over there. That should say something ...
EDIT: What is the fascination with OLD big name players ... why not bring back Vinny Lecavalier while were at it. Sure worked well for him in Philly ... |

Well they bought him out because he's not an 8.5mil player. That doesn't mean he's done as a valuable 1-2mil player... |

I would much rather Perry than Gardiner that will command a stupid 7x7 ( if not more) cause hey, thats the UFA market |

^this. Cheap pp guy with size/experience. Pittsburgh may make more sense for him but if he wants MTL and will come cheap and accept a lower roster role I don't see the concern. Rather him than Delo on the 4th |

We went thru this already...
There a difference between a guy been done, and not wanting to pay him 8.6 FOR TWO additionals years.
That salary was ridiculous, but I don't think he done |

With all the kids coming up, if you are not brining in a guy who fits the long-term plan for the team, then you are just pissing away a spot at a kid to get ice-time and develop. |
