Nothing would show Taylor Hall we are serious more then a broken down bought out star from his youth.... But I don't think it's a horrible idea. He could be a good fit for the kids at center; especially if/when we draft Hughes.

Enough with showing hall that we are serious. We are going to form an elite 1/2 Centre duo, and have one of the best prospect pools on Defence. Blackwood has shown great promise, and adding a former hart trophy winner that notched 50 goals on our decimated RW would be a great addition. He is a pest and will be handy on the pk, pp, and locker room. He does have veteran leadership, and will undoubtedly stick up for the young talent on this squad. It is a low risk with potentially high reward.

One of the best prospect pools on defense? We have Smith. I love Smith, but that's basically it. Butcher isn't really a prospect.

But yeah, I generally agree with bringing on Perry for short term, especially if he isn't keeping someone like Boqvist off.

Now that he has been demeaned and de-valued, do we go after Perry??? 2 years at 3M AAV? He could assist in the: aggitators, RW, PP, grit, leadership departments that are currently a little lacking.

If Perry can be had for 2 years @3 mil, I wouldn't be opposed, his two seasons prior to 2018-19 were decent. Thing is on UFA day GMs lose their minds, my bet is someone gives him a substantial amount more than the 2 years at 3 per.

Yep. I mean a two year 3 per contract is reasonable, if he’s garbage you buy out the second year and you have 1 mil in dead space for two years. Not the worst thing in the world, but someone will give him 3 years at 4 per or worse.

Probably a trade down... ie, with someone at 5th or 7th...

I could see a team making a move for Bowen Byram. Chicago was expected to draft 12th, so it's still a victory for them.

I saw this somewhere last night too lol. His gf/wife put up a post of him saying "look at this handsome devil" and he replied to it "handsome devil indeed" or something like that. Obviously it means nothing, i think its funny how people are looking into it
