Backes, Rat and Carlo for Huberdeau and a 1st. Trying to think of a way to prise Barkov but it's just impossible
Ok I know it's ridiculous but I'm bored. All conjecture trades are ridiculous. Just throw out anything that gives value to both sides. |

We have been trying to find PP quarterback since we lost Saved or possibly ever since Bouquet left. Now we have one in Krug and nearly everyone says let's trade his ass.
I'd trade Gryz before Krug, and while Miller missed half the season we need him, once big Z retires there will be exactly zero players left to keep the peace.
Trading either or both is a really (frank)ing bad idea.

After his showing this past postseason, pretty much no way I’m trading Krug. He’s core moving as far as I’m concerned. Pay him. |

Backes going to be pretty much impossible to move. 2 more seasons at $6 million per. Good lord ...
Johanssen is as good as gone.
Acciari likely gone as well.
Not sure how we’re going to add anything to be honest. No $$

Backes will get 15+ goals and 30+ assists this year!!
Cuz well, we need him to and with Acciari probably gone he's going to have to be the physical force on that line too.

I pretty much agree wholeheartedly. Plus Krug is one of the toughest sob's on the team who is always, always into it. |

Yes. Should be himself for 5 years or so, so give him that term. He's not gonna cost much more than Backes ffs |

Yeah probably. He at least likely wants to be here. 7X7.5? More than ham that and you really do need to weigh options u guess. |

So what do you do, let him walk and bring in another PP quarterback and wind up paying him the same thing?
(frank) that. Pay the man and keep him here.
This Backes albatross has everything logjammed right now. |

Three more years of #CliffyHockey. #NHLBruins have agreed to terms on a three-year extension with Connor Clifton worth $3 million total. He has one year left at $725k, extension can be papered as soon as today.
Like the kid but thought he regressed in SCF...high pressure stakes tho |

TRADE ALERT: The Penguins have acquired forward Alex Galchenyuk and defenseman Pierre-Olivier Joseph from the Coyotes in exchange for Phil Kessel, Dane Birks, and a 2021 fourth-round draft pick.

Nice player but Schaller/Nash/Acciari/Wingles/Wagner are all essentially interchangeable parts in a cap world. Good for the guys who can get paid, but its not here with the Harvard boys killing the cap for the past dozen years |

Man I don't know. I hate the idea of paying 100+ for nosebleeds so Panarin and Bobrosky can get that kind of money. It just pains me. |

Yep... good payers but lots of $ and 7 year terms for both. Money can be a killer but lots of times the term of the contract is the real problem |

#NHLBruins 4th line, last 2 July 1s: Last year: Tim Schaller from $775K to $1.9M with Vancouver. Today: Noel Acciari from $725K to $1.667M w/Florida. B's clearly have a ceiling when it comes to 4th line salaries.....makes sense |
