And with that win, the Leafs take sole possession of the longest cup drought in the league... - RedRevenge

They tend to just give it to the highest scorer...or Crosby. I think defensemen get the shaft. Keith's the only guy to get in the longest time. - AdamFrench
It's annoying. I thought Binnington deserved since they wouldnt be in the finals without him.
RoR is fine I guess. |

Steen hasnt been a leaf for 10 seasons, i truly dont give a fack about him.
I know still cry about his trade, but it took 6 seasons after the trade for him to get to 60pts - Fakepartofme
I only care about Bozak..he was a leaf until this season. Gunnarsson and Steen are long gone. |

Yeah and some idiot let him and JVR walk for nothing, and now the Leafs don't have a first round draft pick. |

Always liked bozak, thought he turned out to be a decent free pick up. Even though most on here used to always complain about him - Fakepartofme
I think most people liked Bozak - he came across as very personable, and like most I'd wish him well. I'm glad he won a cup.
In his 9 years in Toronto, and 1 in St. Louis he has scored over 20 goals once, and had over 50 points once.
This despite playing with guys like Kessel, JVR, Marner for the majority of his time.
It wasn't that people didn't like Bozak; it's that they didn't like how he was used.
He also makes $5m/year which is a fairly significant chunk of change for a guy who isn't overly effective defensively, and has average 3rd line offensive production. |

Yet he played well and was a part of the Blues winning team. Coincidence or is Armstrong brilliant? |

It's extremely rare for a team to unload scoring depth, let alone PP1 players/top 6 point producers, before they're about to enter the playoffs. You have to consider those players "free" rentals. |

undrafted
hockey smart but not the greatest finish...he'd be in the right place at the right time but fumbled/fanned the shot ...so frustrating to watch

Definitely, I think most people in his position would make trades after the holiday trade freeze.. Credit to Armstrong for hiring Berube and giving Binnington a chance.. Who knows what would have happened if they kept Jake Allen as the #1 G |

That's revisionist history. Armstrong was listening to offers and was ready to toss the proverbial grenade when Binnington came along at the start of January and proceeded to go 15-1-1 over the next two months. Armstrong had to slide the pin back into the grenade. |

^^ This is more accurate. I don't know if Armstrong is brilliant inasmuch as happenstance happened for him.
That being said, he had already accumulated the pieces, and most people were pretty surprised at how poorly the Blues had been playing to that point. |
