It worked in French Canada Montreal. I mean what do they have in their name recently that would attract that many fans?

Much is being made of the idea that Meuro is the first Latino owner, and that he will somehow save the Coyotes by selling the game of hockey to the Latino market. That seems like the wishy washy logic of a moron, but I once invested heavily in Pogs, so you can't trust me on business.

The way to save the Coyotes is probably not to rely on racial profiling, but who am I to say?

The owners in Atlanta tried to appeal to the African American community by acquiring and marketing players of color as well.

I feel like icing a good team is a better way to go

Also, I'd put the odds of them playing in Houston within 5 years over them playing in Glendale/Phoenix

While I completely agree with your comment on racial profiling being disgusting, I actually think there is merit to the claim. Mainly because he has said so with other business ventures, and does a brilliant job playing this different businesses off of one another.

He owns Hispanic stations, a pizza joint catered towards Hispanics, and a casino catered towards Hispanics. Now obviously people of all kinds go to his pizza and casino spots, and he gladly takes all their money, but he has done a good job embracing a community that rarely gets embraced.

-quit blogging about hockey and instead do Pog blogs. You know, focus on what you know.
-if you ignore number 3, consider a blog about how the Coyotes should sign Scott Gomez.

He's just using the Coyotes to launder Drug Money

Get used to hearing that every game is a sellout when there are thousands and thousands of empty seats

Hey, it's not that hard to make a Pizza or a Casino that you can cater towards people of a certain heritage or ancestry, but hockey is different. You can't exactly alter the ingredients to make it appeal to people from other places.

Hey pal, indignant typo complaining is the lowest form of trolling. Your second comment is about a joke you clearly didn't get and, well, honestly you are terrible at this. A million trolls have came and went over the years, but Ol' Tanner has outlasted them all.

If you DM me, i'll give you the contact information for a guy called MLJ and if you're lucky he'll agree to take you to his dojo and be your troll sensei. That guy can give you some tips, but bear in mind though that I also destroyed him too.

Tanner do a Yotes blog ‘once’ where you sound like you actually care about the team. We all know your undying love for the Leafs, but that blog spot is taken. Your blogs about the Yotes are almost always sub par and show how little you care about the team. If you are gonna do a job, then try to be better than you are. Your opinion on everything hockey is crap, but even worse when it comes to blogging for the Yotes.

Hey Tanner. Do you think Scott Gomez could kind of be a mentor to help Schmaltz become a 90+ point player?

I heard the new owner will bribe voters to ensure OEL wins the Norris. He's deserved it like 6 or 7 times already.

I actually thought you couldn't get any worse as a blogger. I had no idea how wrong I was. Did they legalize crack where you live? I am now going to look up the new owner's name because you obviously don't know how to spell it; it changes as the article goes along. You really should stick to collecting pogs. I am sure you were way more successful in that venture and I am positive you know more about those. By the way, what are pogs?

Two spellings of owner's name and two pog references -
Like every other owner, Meruelo brings a bit of optimism and a bit of fear about the team moving.

But then again, the Coyotes have been moved to every city on the planet at least six times each, and they still play their games in Arizona.

I guess you can try to sell hockey to Cubans and Mexicans, but why would the owner sharing a background entice someone to come to a hockey game?

Personally, I never care what the owner's background is when considering hockey as an entertainment choice, but again, what do I know? Not only did I invest heavily in Pogs, but I also once bought shares in a Y2K preparedness company in 2002. (I thought they were sure to rebound).

Boy oh boy.... Mr Tanner gets roasted a little more than usual. Normally I get behind a guy who's getting kicked around just for having an not so awesome opinion, but I didn't realize he was actually a Leafs fan. If that is in fact the case I will just enjoy the read.

How many crack smokers do you think base their entertainment choices on the legality of their choice product?

You guys are really scraping the bottom of the barrel - cliches and typo complaints.

Better chance that the Oilers will trade them McDavid.
