I say no way, but his buyout isn't nearly as bad as one would imagine - jimbro83
I want them to trade and keep him though... |

Banking on a rebound year. Playoff preformer, should they get there. Has a nice bit of skill and bumhole in his game. Veteran player. |

Why don't you see Podkolzin going top 10? - Feds91Stammer
I think there better players that would fall in the top 10, before him. Then, I factor in team needs like:
Phili needing a D-man (possibly Soderstrom) at #11
Minnesota needing a Centremen at #12 (Alex Newhook)
Florida #13, possible drafting Goaltender Spencer Knight.
Montreal and Vegas looking at D-Men with the number #15 and #17 Picks

Fair enough. I wouldn't bank on much of a rebound. |

Philly needs defensemen today so, by drafting a defenseman that's two to four years away from the NHL, they are filling a need. What's not to understand? |

maybe Florida is drafting Spencer Knight, but the way some players are falling in this particular mock draft, who knows... |

Not that high on Brodie. Maybe I am wrong and he is just overshadowed by the other d-men there, but that deal doesn’t thrill me much. - airjan23
Well 1 year to UFA for a 1 year to UFA, one a top 6 forward the other a top 4D that plays his best from right side. Even of you guys dont want to resign him, Brodie would be a pretty coveted rental at the TDL that would probably get you a late 1st ++ from a contender. We could keep him but it's hard to sell at TDL if we are having a year like we did this last year. |

I don’t hate Podkolzin at 6 but think he’s going to drop into the 8+ range. I love his game but have been reading he had a rough year plus he’s likely staying in the KHL 2 more years. Most of the guys drafted 8+ are a year or 2 away anyway so I wouldn’t be afraid of that. If he starts dropping around 10-12 he’s the guy I want to trade up and grab. If he’s gone by then I want Seider in the 14-16 range. |

I wouldn’t mind eating his contract for a pick/prospect or swap bad contracts if Smith or Shatty would go to CGY |

It always looks like Bettman's head is moving around like an actual bobblehead, it's hysterical. |
