Did you read the CanuckWay article on him? They are usually out to lunch on their articles but they did good on this one.

Is Kirby Dach the riskiest pick in this year’s draft? @OwenJGibbs takes a look.

I like risks but he is no more a risk than Podkolzin or Caufield.

@Vantel

I know your stance on the Sedins all too well but give me a moment SVP.

They were competitive in every manner against each right down to ping pong. Instill that into a JV somehow & lets see what he could do. Q is is that possible or is he probably too aloof to get it? Hutton is another player of his ilk.

The problem I see with Jake is he likes parties beer and women more than hockey.

Hibernation and Skating problems
- VANTEL

His skating is not bad to me I have seen him skate and it looks awkward because he is tall. The hibernation factor would be more of a worry for me but even that I would attribute maturity. Both can drastically improve with the right development. We are talking potential here and his potential is high.

These days talent only opens the door. Most players don’t reach their pinnacle due to they cannot survive on talent alone. That list is nearly endless. Coaching only goes so far. Every player should be a student of the game or be left behind aka BUST.

Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Many old pros did also but figured out how to do it all. Bobby Hull & Joe Namath. If JV thinks TG is demanding give him to me to FIFO lol

I don’t see that happening. He’ll take Krebs before him.

I didn't like his skating at all . I thought he stood up too straight when skating . That was my red flag.

Everyone has an opinion. Some people like him , I am not a fan at all . I don't think he is on Canucks radar though.

When a kid has played hockey all of his life he doesn’t all of a sudden gain maturity. He has already developed his personality pertaining to his sport & that’s what will take him him further or fail him. Players like Carbonneau & Green were Jr stars that used their brain to make a living in the pros. Tiger Williams is another to go along with many others who were more than stats on paper. Evolve or be gone.

It served me very well in sports. Only the lazy rest on their laurels.

"Boston Model" They're in the SCF, but still getting man handled by some big STL D.

The game changes in the playoffs. JB's right he needs some more size and grit.

We have Roussel and Zack MacEwen in Utica, not enough. Protect the skill guys.
