Ah yes, because players only consider the quality of city when choosing where to play. That's why every free agent ever has gone to NYC or LA.

Edit: Don't you think Columbus interests him cause he thinks they're gonna lose Duchene and he can be a 1c there? Oh, I forgot you're allergic to critical thinking

hayes a 1C that's hilarious to think about

"2018: The Flyers discussed various trade ideas with other teams at the 2018 Draft in Dallas but ultimately stood pat except for a 7th round pick swap. "

I mean, I'm sure there's a reason, but why would teams even do 1-for-1 swaps of 7th round picks? That seems like making a trade for the sake of making a trade. I guess I could see where none of the remaining players were scouted, so you move on until next year, but 7th rounders have to be extreme long shots to ever even play one game in the NHL.

Two straight years, the Flyers have held Montreal's seventh-round pick and, both times, they sent the pick back to the Habs in exchange for Mtl's seventh-round pick the NEXT draft.

If we could somehow get rid of the people who post bullpoop just to piss people off, this place would actually have some productive debates and conversation.

This is why there needs to be an ignore button.

Losing that fifth rounder is gonna kill us!!
- ClaudeFather

You don’t get it do you...
If they do sign him, or let go of a 5th rounder for nothing. The only way this ends is with egg on their face.

Of course not. It doesn't mean they haven't done anything right or that they always make the wrong moves and deserved to be criticized for every move that doesn't work out.

The last five years were a necessary evil. Of course, I would prefer 5 cups in that span. They seem to have found a franchise goalie. They have a good young D core. They are one center and one winger away from having 4 full lines of legitimate NHL depth.

Of course the youngsters need to continue to improve and the trades/signings they make need to work out. But I am fine with the last five years. It is the next five that I will be very critical of. They have the assets and the money to make this team a contender.

Kinda like what the Flyers have been doing for the last five years? Big difference is the Bruins were already good. Flyers had to get rid of salary and basically draft and develop half of the current roster. 7 current forwards and 6 d-men were drafted by the Flyers. Also, the goalie. So 14 of the 23 roster players were drafted by the Flyers.
