For all of the apparent connections and sources that he has...which must be vast given that he has been on the ice celebrating with the Cup 12 times and counting...he sure misses a lot of action.

For example, his Toronto source was apparently feeding him inside info on potential trades for Kadri, Nylander, Gardiner...but not a hint about Zaitsev making a trade request or Marleau being actively shopped.

Plenty of chatter about Lucic, Neal, Eriksson, Perry getting traded or bought out but not a word from Ek on this. Instead he has stuff like Malkin going to Vancouver and Doughty going to the Oilers. Just nonsense.

At the deadline he had Stone going to Winnipeg, Duchene and Zuccarello going to Nashville, Nyquist to Washington, Staal to Calgary, Holland staying in Detroit.

Maybe work on developing better sources and spend less time talking about the 11 factors to predict the game tonight.

Lmao, you are so right, EK definitely has made some bad guesses on player movement, but I come and read them everyday because I love rumours. Still miss the good old, pre cap days, lots of trades then.

I hope the Blues win their first cup tonight, I just can’t cheer for Boston. That city wins everything, they’ve seen lots of parades there, quit hogging them, lol. That said I’ve got a lot of respect for the Bruins players though, they play the right way and the Chara era is coming to an end. I hate Marchand, like most non Bruins fans but if he was a leaf he’d be my favourite player. I love his game when he’s playing anyone but the leafs.

Wendal has always been my favourite player, players like him played the game the way it was meant to be IMHO. I enjoy the speed and skill of todays NHL and understand a lot more about concussions but I do sometimes miss the rough stuff of days gone by.

I miss the old Norris division days. Wings vs Blues, Hawks, Leafs, North Stars. Home and home series vs the Leafs at the Joe on a Friday. MLG on Saturday. Lots of fights. The good ol' days!
