- OT One – The US Women’s Soccer Team is being criticized for their 13-0 smashing on Thailand yesterday. These criticisms are coming from outside the Thailand team… My take is if you don’t want these types of games, remove goal differential as a tie breaker.

The criticism was from the over-the-top goal celebrations when you're up 8 or 9 or 10 to nil; not from the final score. No issue at all for driving the score up as it is more insulting to just play keep-away ball.

Great point about goal differential.

Paul, I know it's been talked about to death, but do you really think PK gets moved?? Your defense has an embarrassment of riches, but it blows my mind to think that another guy who seems like the heart of the team gets moved.. First Suter, then Weber and now PK??

How about Triple OT? And pray to all that is holy there's no referee or replay shenanigans to overshadow the game itself.

Bit of a different situation now. You could call P.K. the face of the team because he's the biggest star, but Arvy and Pekka are the heart of the team at the moment. Suter wasn't moved, he was a lying fink who scuttled off in the dead of night, but I forgive him. Him leaving wound up being one of the best things to happen to the team. Weber definitely was the heart and soul of the team at the time. That trade hurt, but most fans understood it. Shea didn't fit the new system and he was becoming injury prone, and was going to become increasingly harder to move as he got older. I'd say it's about 50/50 P.K. gets moved. Team needs offense desperately, but I don't know how serious Poile is about moving him.

Lee Would be a nice pick up, but it's hard to trust anything coming out of the rumor mill this time of year. Of course all the GM's are talking, throwing out names and seeing what sticks... Then a lot of those talks get leaked to the press and next thing you know the rumor sites have everyone getting traded or signing everywhere else. I'm pretty sure that's roughly 3/4's of EK's entire system, and why most of his rumors never pan out. There's a big difference between teams talking to see what's out there, and two GM's having serious conversations about potential deals. The only rumors Preds fans can really take seriously right now is Duchene, because it's been out there seemingly forever, and that P.K. is on the trade block. I'm still about 50/50 on whether or not that happens though. Not sure David is quite ready to move on from his trophy wife just yet.

Now as for Lee himself, he would be a nice addition if true... Size and skill, exactly what the team needs. Problem is though, Lee alone isn't going to solve all the Preds offensive problems. If the Preds could somehow land Duchene and Lee, or Lee and a similar caliber player then you're talking about a legit second line and transforming the makeup of the team. Not sure that's going to be possible though, without some serious finagling on Poile's part. It's going to be an interesting off-season.

I don't see PK being the heart and soul of the team. I think he is a significant component of the team's identity along with Rinne, Arvidsson, Johansen and others. Just because he isn't the "heart and soul" doesn't mean he will automatically be traded. Subban is the biggest trade piece the Preds have - especially with lots of teams craving top D-men. But his $9MM cap hit is problematic for a lot of the teams that would like to have him. Lots of people seem concerned that Subban is a locker room issue, but I haven't necessarily gotten that impression from the Preds' room.

To me, the best thing the Preds could do is to move Subban and Turris. I thought Turris would be un-moveable, but with solid play in the Worlds...he might be worth the price to some GM's, especially if the Preds retain a little salary. That would leave the flexibility to sign Duchene and extend Josi.

True, all of this is from an admittedly outside perspective.

Signing Duchene would be HUGE. You're already deep down the middle.

If the Hawks draft Byram I think it's obvious that they are trying to rebuild their team in the model of the Preds. No hard feelings y'all, I'm going to be back in Nashville this time next month.

Only fools listen to pundits and social media, where the brunt of the women's soccer criticism is coming. Who cares. Kudos to the women, I hope they celebrate if they score 40.

Yes, it's hockey but the two teams playing are...let's just say, not my favorites. So, I'll watch but hoping they both kill each other.

I'm not paying attention to rumors this year. I want results. I don't think PK is the soul of the team, he may think he is, and the national media does too, but I'd put Arvy or Peks ahead of him, and not by a close margin. Hell, Rocco may be the heart and soul pretty soon.

Good for St. Louis, even though I couldn't pull for them despite the fact I like this particular Bruins team even less than I do the Blues. St. Louis has a generally amiable fanbase, and I'm happy for most of them. To that small percentage of obnoxious a@@hatts and trolls out there (that every team has) I hope their cable or satellite went out halfway through the game, and their radio broadcast nothing but white noise. Congratulations St. Louis.

Thanks for the congrats, I know how hard it would be for me if the shoe were on the other foot. It's funny that you mention cablesatellite going out because a storm swept in right as the NBC broadcast started and did just that to a portion of the St Louis broadcast area.

Congratulations Blues on Lord Stanley !
Hopefully the Preds players/coaches were watching and saw the grit, fire and determination it takes to win 16 postseason games
