Thats exactly why i mentioned gallagher’s draft rank, he might have been selected in the 5th round but he produces like someone who was picked in the first round and shouldnt be underestimated

Surely, Bergevin & Cie know what forwards are coming through the system ... and as you rightly said, our biggest needs short term are on D (left to be precise).

Also, as others have already mentioned, some key contracts will be coming up next year. It's better to keep some dry powder as it gives us more flexibility.
