I've seen the words "difficult personality" thrown around with him too. Not sure how you measure personality/60 though. - smellmyfinger
You complain about intangibles like "he isn't a hard worker" or "he doesn't put it all on the ice" to make excuses for a guy being bad. But Buffalo was forced to trade O'Reilly, apparently. For a 24th forward, a 4th liner, and a guy who isn't in the league anymore. Worked out great for them, honestly. I guess they couldn't use one of the best centers in the league who just led the Blues to a cup at all. |

wow! Sabres did well in that trade! They got a draft pick to free up 3mil in cap space (only because one of the guys had he contract terminated for not showing up to games). Great work guys! |

Nice to see Marchand cry.
Great player but a POS.
Feel for MarJo. But just a little.
I feel like we are so far away from hoisting the Cup again.
Henrik Lundqvist’s name not on the cup. Jake Allen’s about to be. Wild. |

Tarasenko credited ROR for revitalizing him.
And in Buffalo, even Eichel complained that the other players didn't care enough about winning. ROR was probably the never-quit guy and the other guys threw him off the boat cuz they were annoyed.
They said they couldn't win with him... or one of the reporters reported that. |

So is St. Louis' win "tainted" because of that Saints-Rams-esque noncall that led to the game winning goal in one of the games?
Or are we going to stop splitting hairs, now? |

While bad call in the end most things even out. Boston got breaks, blues got breaks....just a matter of the result but you earn what you get in most cases
It's not like Boston doesn't get away with things and are angels out there so it is a little bitter but a taste of their own medicine

The Blues got screwed way harder on that Timo Meier hand pass in the WCF. I hate when people bring up any Cup win being tainted, unless it comes out that a team literally cheated somehow (not even sure what that would look like). Every Cup winner HAS to get at least a little lucky along the way to win the Cup. From bounces going your way, to injuries, to questionable calls going your way, it's all part of winning a Cup (in addition to, you know, playing good hockey).
Congrats to the Blues, 51 years and they finally got their first Cup. |

I don't know, Buf fans told me Tage Thompson was going to be a 30 goal scorer and that they easily won the trade. - Pomegrant
