Anaheim does have a top Right handed defenceman. Manson is the best they have on the right side, and he is second pair at best. Fowler plays the left side and the Leafs are already set there with Reilly and Muzzin (both uncomfortable on the right side).

Back on EK's blog at 10:53 a.m. on the trade deadline date of Feb. 25th, you also posted some similar nonsense about then Ranger, Kevin Hayes' trade return value, like you stated here just in some general degrading words about Chris Kreider's trade value.

Your words as to the Hayes trade rumors EK posted that day were:
"1st for Hayes would be an over payment. And not sure how that has anything to do with Strome re-signing."

The two way playing center in Hayes playing a part in every game role for just 51 games up to that point in the past season due to injury, still earned 14 Goals and 28 Assists, and had a +1 (+/-) rating, for a rebuilding & specifically, defensive struggling Rangers team, that was a non playoff contender.

The Rangers made you look really stupid then, after they traded Hayes to the Jets for 3 assets in a 2022 Conditional 4th Round Pick, forward Brendan Lemieux (who was also wanted by other teams that had contacted the Jets), and a 2019 1ST ROUND PICK, which later became Pick #20 Overall in the upcoming June 21st/22nd draft.

So I would keep quiet if I were you, when talking any hockey other than about your fishermen from Long Island/Brooklyn in your wildest dreams about them.

Hey Ek, tons of rumors that Zucker will be traded before next season, how come he's not on your rumor chart???

I thought trading nylander was to clear space for marner. Lindholm and Fowler make 5.5 and 6 million. About a 1 million cap savings for marner. If you trade for Manson he's got a 4.1 cap hit . That's about 2.8 cap savings. I mean that better. Still if the leafs wanted someone cheap I'd probably go for Josh mahUra. He's another guy like Brandon montour that can skake and bring up the puck. Mahura plus the 29th pick and another player should give the leafs everything they need. Cap space, a young puck moving dman, a depth foward , and a shinny first rounder who will probably be another dman

I think because the media has focused so much on the Leafs compared to everypne else' cap, people think the Leafs have a lot less cap than they do. Nylander will not be traded to free up cap space. They have enough to sign Marner.

Could very well be some legs to the Kreider rumor to Calgary. I had heard a few years ago that Peters wanted him in Carolina, so who knows?
