I'd love for the Red Wings to have Anaheim's defense. Or any defense for that matter.

Ducks have a lot of very good dmen, Manson Fowler, Lindholm and Montour. These guys play in a defensive system and can easily produce more offensively if given the chance.

I love the mentality of i dont follow a team and dont know their player names so the must be poop....

I thought trading nylander was to clear space for marner. Lindholm and Fowler make 5.5 and 6 million. About a 1 million cap savings for marner. If you trade for Manson he's got a 4.1 cap hit . That's about 2.8 cap savings. I mean that better. Still if the leafs wanted someone cheap I'd probably go for Josh mahUra. He's another guy like Brandon montour that can skake and bring up the puck. Mahura plus the 29th pick and another player should give the leafs everything they need. Cap space, a young puck moving dman, a depth foward , and a shinny first rounder who will probably be another dman
