With possible extensions looming for Teows/Pulock/Barzal, it would be difficult to resign most players plus trying to add on. Beisdes Ebs/Lee/Lehner and extensions for some kids, does the team even have enough cap space to fit all plus FA's?

I do believe Bellows & Wahlstrom will be up w/big club in 2yrs, maybe even late next year.

Wouldnā€™t go as far as saying itā€™s a shat signing I just look at it like I stated before. A desperation move. I donā€™t think Eberle moves the needle all that much and I would like to see the top 6 improved for 6 or more million dollars imo.

Bailey isnt going anywhere, most people hate him but Trotz talked about how smart and good he was and how he never really knew it before. With Lee and eberle up in the air bailey is a lock to stay
- Upstate_isles

Bailey is here to stay. I just think he hurts the team more than helps. Bailey played well against a lousy defensive team in the Pens but he was back to his usual self against a real defense like the Canes. When things get rough and the checking is tight, Bailey is just not going to help much.

I dont buy that, all his coaches and teammates rave about how smart he is and good, my issue is he overpasses and tries to make the perfect play

Bailey is a sometimes good sometimes not player. Heā€™s inconsistent I donā€™t care what players and coaches say. I watch him play enough to formulate my own opinion.

You have your own opinion I'm stating why he wouldn't be moved. Sure he disappears at times so did tavares and so does Nelson, almost all players do over 82 games except the truly elite ones

For donā€™t disagree but coaches saying bailey is smart means nothing to me. Theyā€™re not going to sar he sucks. Heā€™s an ok inconsistent player. Thatā€™s it.

Exactly! Players and coaches will not throw Bailey under the bus. We've seen Bailey play many years and watched him let other players skate right past him without doing anything. Bailey goes on a little run and then gets lazy again. Hopefully Barry can get more out of him.

Habs wont trade you Tatar for Leddy right now

My guess is Bergevin will use Lehkonen, Armia, Juulsen and the two 2nd rounders as bait to try and acquire a D... You mentioned Shaw, he could be a possibility, had a strong season, Habs could be looking to sell high, even though he played a fairly big part in the surprise success the team had. I take a beating on a regular basis in the Habs blog for suggesting Danault could be traded, so that wont be well received, and really I'd rather Danault be part of a bigger package for a D better than Leddy, I wouldn't do it straight up

This guy obviously speaks on behalf of the Canadiens organization. Thanks for the info šŸ‘šŸ¾

You could tell last year that Trotz was starting to sour on Bailey at times. Sat him a few times and called him out a bit in press conferences. Bailey for me it's the effort is not always there.. I can't stand that sht. As much as some complain about Beauv he never takes a shift off. I think Beau will be great b/c he is Young, can fly, is coachable and doesn't ever float out there... Bailey floats all the time.

if the Isles somehow sign Lee and Eberle and then can somehow entice one of the big fish via UFA or trade.. I could easily see Bailey being traded.

He was defensively unwatchable for a very long stretch last season Iā€™m sure everyone remembers. I doubt very much Trotz thought he was a smart player during that runšŸ˜‚

I get it 7 but Bailey was the topic not the entire top 6. I want the top 6 improved and I never posted get rid of Bailey and the top 6 is fine.

I understand Ses, but the whole team was dreadful against The canes so....

Edit: I know +/- like FO's mean nothing but Bailey was even for the Canes series

I know you're being facetious but faceoffs are huge, possession is huge and can sometimes take a team an entire shift to get the puck back.

Out of 82 games bailey takes off at least 70. There is no need for him on this team. And no team will trade for him cause they donā€™t want him on their team

What do you think we would get for Bailey in a trade?
